Possible new ideas for GoI that I might write an article for. Listing everything here so I don't forget anything. If someone does see this and uses one of these, please PM me to let me know.

P.S. These logos are just placeholders until I actually use the GoIs.

Walt Disney Necromachineering Department

disneynecromachinist.png

Deriving from the words necromancy and machinist, the Necromachineering Department is the occult branch of the Imagineering Department. Founded by Walt Disney, a well-known member of the Rosicrucian Order, to provide the "magic" found in Disneyland theme parks.

GoI Number: 6660

Logo Design: The logo is derived from the logo of the Imagineering Department, with the words "IMAGINEERING" being replaced with "NECROMACHINEERING", and the stars near the top being replaced with a pentagram.

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to housed underneath the anomalous resaerch wing in Site-22. Regular maintenance of the outside room is to be performed when SCP-XXXX is not currently being used. Please refer to the internal communication service for scheduling of usage and other tests. The perimeter of bulletproof glass is not to be entered if testing is currently in process.

Description: SCP-XXXX is an anomalous box made of an undetermined metal. It measures 10x10x10 meters. On one side of the structure is an embedded screen with a Dvorak-layout keyboard underneath. A pair or sliding doors lead to an hermetic airlock that fits about 8 persons. Opening the doors by force does not seem to affect the anomaly at all. Any superficial damage caused seems to disappear the moment it is inflected.

Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures:
Physical contact with SCP-XXXX is prohibited outside of transportation/testing purposes.
Only D class personnel are permitted to touch the SCP when handling is necessary.
The door of the containment room is to, at all times, remain deadlocked.
The SCP itself is to be kept inside a glass casing.

Description:
SCP-XXXX is a ship in a bottle. However, the ship, sails and the pirates are real and judging by the size of the miniature people trapped on board, the ship can hold up to 80 people with 12 currently on the ship. After tests, it was concluded that the pirates onboard the ship are completely unaware of the fact that they are trapped inside a glass bottle. Also, it seems that the people onboard have no memory of their past lives before being trapped on the ship.

They also seemed to be completely uninterested of the world around them, repeating the same pattern of jobs every day while, never showing any evidence of above animal intelligence.

When a person makes contact with SCP-XXXX for longer than 10 minutes, the subject will be immediately transported inside of SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX will then appear at the nearest stable location. After that, the person can be seen inside the bottle among the other pirates and making no signs of being aware of previously being outside of the bottle. It also draws people towards itself and creating an undeniable urge to inspect and hold the item.

During observation, a fight broke out among crewmates on the ship. After the fight, there were no signs of physical injuries sustained by anyone involved. This may indicate that the people on the ship are immortal or have heightened defensive capabilities.

When attempting to carbon date the object, the results varied between 10-400 years.

All attempts to open the bottle have been unsuccessful although researchers believe the bottle is breakable. However, this remains untested. As for what would happen upon breaking is unknown. The most supported theory among researchers of the project is that the inhabitants and world would die.

Discovery:
It was first found in London when the police received a call from a terrified daughter screaming about how she saw her father vanish inside the bottle. After the police arrived at the scene, no one was home which left them puzzled, so fearing the worst they broke inside the home to see the was bottle alone and inhabited by tiny, living people and they understood they were out of their depth, so they immediately reported it to the SCP Foundation and we arrived within the hour to collect the item.

Addendum:
The SCP has raised many ethical questions. Some of the scientists who worked on the bottle believed that it should be broken, killing the people who are trapped inside. They stated that it was inhumane to leave the men and women upon the ship to sail and suffer for eternity.
While other scientists believed that since they were unaware of their current situation, killing them would be unethical, especially because the Motto of the foundation is secure contain protect.

Footnote:
The ship and it’s inhabitant's inability to recognize their existence inside of a bottle got some of the scientists on the project pondering if the human race is trapped inside a universe-sized bottle unable to see who/what might be looking down on them from the outside.

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to have fifthteen tons of SCP-XXXX-Beta airdropped into it at a bidaily interval, five tons are to be dropped near three sides. If this requirement isn't met, it will expand at a rate of [DATA EXPUNGED] per day. When exposed to SCP-XXXX-Beta, SCP-XXXX recoils and shrinks by 20%; it will proceed to escape towards the nearest opening at a rate of 1 km/h. Attempts to completely surround it will result in it shrinking to 90% then violently expanding in size beyond what it previously was, increasing temperatures surrounding it to 322 degrees Celsius for 10 minutes.

All attempts to recreate its' pre-discover containment have failed. The SCP foundation has brought in numerous Buddhist monks and supplied them with knowledge that the Foundation recovered at SCP-XXXX-Alpha. All monks have either failed or died attempting to recreate the containment procedures; surviving monks are given Class-C amnestics while the fatalities are given cover stories.

Description: SCP-XXXX appears to be a slow moving, 6km x 6km x 1km cloud that is located in the area commonly known as the North-South Korean DMZ. It gradually changes colors but never changes into a variation of black, white, or grey. When entered, SCP-XXXX is just like any normal cloud haze. However, there is a [DATA UNAVAILABLE] chance that instances of SCP-XXXX-01 will appear. SCP-XXXX-01 instances have the appearance of lightning ranging from 5m to 20m, that also fluctuate in color.

Discovery: On April 10th, 1951 the Foundation detected large amounts of radiation emanating from the Korean peninsula, the following day General Douglas MacArthur was relieved of military command. On April 12th, 1951 SCP-XXXX was witnessed by reconnaissance teams half a kilometer from the nuclear epicenter; at the time of discovery SCP-XXXX was only 100m x 100m x 50m. The following day SCP-XXXX had increased to 1km x 1km x 200m. Foundation field agents were sent into SCP-XXXX on April 13th, 1951 and to where it was first sighted since it drifted 10km westwards. Radiation reported by both groups of agents were considered normal for nuclear fallout for their areas.

Foundation agents found a charred cave entrance, designated SCP-XXXX-Alpha, 70m from the nuclear epicenter and formed a perimeter; the cave appeared manmade and spiraled downwards for around 20m. At the end of the cave was what appeared to be a door hole that at its base was most likely the ash from a wooden door. Upon walking through the door there was a 3m x 10m x 3m room; the walls of the room were written in what appeared to be some form of archaic Korean painted in a black material that absorbed 99.965% of all light. This material has been designated SCP-XXXX-Beta. At the end of the room was what appeared to be a nuclear shadow of somebody sitting down in meditation. The agents that entered SCP-XXXX reported no abnormalities other than its changing colors. After 10 minutes they had exited on the opposite side.

Foundation scientists arrived at SCP-XXXX-Alpha in the late hours of April 13th, to learn of SCP-XXXX's origin and possible previous containment; by that time, SCP-XXXX had increased its volume by 50%. Historic linguists were brought in and could translate most phrases on the cave walls, but four of the phrases caused one of the linguists to suffer a severe migraine while the other two fell unconscious. When questioned afterwards, the linguists couldn't remember what was written. Readers of modern Korean and non-Korean readers suffered no ill-effects of the four phrases, but obviously couldn't interpret what they meant. Some of the material that the phrases were painted in was scraped off and analyzed. The material's chemical structure was easily identifiable and could easily be mass produced.

Addendum 04-14-1951: The phrases painted on the cave wall were repainted in SCP-XXXX-Beta on the side of military jeeps and driven into SCP-XXXX by D-Class personnel. The D-Class recorded an increase of temperature by 5 degrees Celsius and increased winds surrounding the jeeps. Later a jeep completely covered in SCP-XXXX-Beta and drove into SCP-XXXX. This time upon entering, 3m surrounding the jeep retracted and temperatures increased by 20 degrees Celsius. The Foundation proceeded to spray mist of SCP-XXXX-Beta into SCP-XXXX with similar results.

Addendum 04-15-1951: Foundation aircraft proceeded to airdrop large amounts of SCP-XXXX-Beta all around SCP-XXXX; SCP-XXXX shrunk 90% but then rapidly expanded to its' current size of 6km x 6km x 1km. Aircraft were used again to drop SCP-XXXX-Beta but only on three sides, this caused SCP-XXXX to move away from where the SCP-XXXX-Beta was dropped.

Addendum 04-19-1951: The Foundation led SCP-XXXX to the Sea of Japan in order to contain it offshore to reduce the chance of discovery. Unfortunately, when SCP-XXXX encountered the sea it began to sink. Measures were quickly taken to lead it back ashore.
Arrival of SCP-XXXX-1 Instances: On April 20th, 1951, foundation personnel reported lightning moving within SCP-XXXX. These strands of lightning have been designated as SCP-XXXX-1. Two D-Class personnel, D-7744 and D-888, were sent to investigate. When the two reached 150m of SCP-XXXX the SCP-XXXX-1 instances began to congregate to the area directly in front of them. When the personnel were within 20m, they reported that the SCP-XXXX-1 instances were no longer breaking apart but staying uniform. Within 5m of the cloud, they reported two dull orbs of light floating near one end of each instance of SCP-XXXX-1, the instances also began to rapidly change color at a faster rate than SCP-XXXX.

D-888 was instructed to walk into SCP-XXXX, when his hand went into the cloud, all instances of SCP-XXXX-1 descended to the ground. D-888 reluctantly walked all the way in and SCP-XXXX-1 instances parted in any direction he walked towards. After 5 minutes, D-888 reported that he began to see an outline of several pillars forming 9m from the edge of the haze. D-888 was instructed to walk up to the pillars and make contact. When D-888 made contact with one of the pillars he reported that it began to glow also in a multicolored hue. Meanwhile, D-7744, who was still outside SCP-XXXX didn't report any pillars but could still see D-888.

Seeking Greenlights: No

Page Type: SCP Article/Tale

Page Layout: I plan to include standard points (containment procedures, description, etc.) along with extensive journal entries, which I will format in a specific way to effectively develop the plot. I’m sure I’ll include other things later, but this is all I plan to work with for now.

Elevator Pitch: An extraterrestrial spaceship with anomalous effects will reveal truths about the universe to the Foundation.

Central Narrative: Through the routine observation of nearby celestial bodies, Foundation personnel discover a spacecraft orbiting Callisto, one of Jupiter’s moons. I’d go into detail about its anomalous properties (the way it conceals itself, what it’s made of, and the things inside) but I don’t really have enough words for that. I planned to make the journal entries and story behind it the main premise of my SCP.

My article tells the story of the sole survivor of a technologically advanced alien civilization, destroyed by a much more powerful race. The main premise is that the alien civilization had heard of their destruction, so they built a craft preparing for their possible arrival, which eventually came. However, the main person I will be talking about was the only one able to escape before the destruction of the planet. It will include his journal logs, his interactions with other demolished civilizations, and where he finds himself at the end of his journey.

I’m also including both an original idea I was going to use (even though I think it’s a bit too… much):

The reason I think this idea might not be usable is because it seems a bit too hard for me to explain, even vaguely. I’d much rather like to use this one than my other one, however.
and an alternative one:

In general, the central idea I plan to use is that there is some sort of goal I’m trying to have my person reach, whether that be just to survive, or to take revenge against the ones who destroyed his civilization. I think that I’ll be able to give readers a sense of restlessness, showing them that there is something else, something more for them to know, which will be revealed later on (or not at all).

Hook/Attention-Grabber: The discovery of an extraterrestrial spacecraft leads the Foundation through the great historical significance surrounding its existence. Sometimes, however, ignorance can be bliss.

Additional Notes: I’m much more able to thoroughly express my ideas through actual writing rather than short descriptions. Also, I’m very likely to already have answers for questions you have about anything I may not have explained, but I just want some general feedback right now. However, I’d be happy to answer anything thrown my way.

(NOTE FOR ZACH: Hey, this is the SCP template plus the customizable ACS (I added the ACS). If you want to change the ACS, just erase the things like item number, clearance, container class, secondary
class (for esoteric container class), disruption class, or risk class. If you want to know what all the classes are, then go to these pages:
(http://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/anomaly-classification-system-guide) for classes.
(https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/esoteric-classes-complete-list) for esoteric secondary classes.
If you are confused about secondary classes or ACS or anything else, just call or text me. Make sure to never remove any code, for example, things like "div class="footer-wikiwalk-nav"" you should not remove because it is part of the page. And lastly, to edit this page and do all the things I talked about, just go to the bottom of the page and click edit.)
