Special Containment Procedures: It isn't particularly smart, but the creatures it makes are as smart or smarter than humans. It is its own building so it cant be put in to an SCP containment facility, so there is a research center on site, with an electrical fence. There are spotlight around the fence since the creature it makes are hurt by light.
Description: The facility looks like a standard coal power plant. The inside of the facility is currently unknown besides the first few rooms.
Machine of Broken Gears: All that is known of SCP-4071 is when living matter gets to close it will suck it in and turn it into a "Gear Stalker". It also excretes this black goo called Y-468, that works as an incense for the Gear Stalkers. And the goo is also what turns the living creatures into the Gear Creatures.
Gear Stalker: These creatures are made of living matter of anything that gets to close to 4071. They are know to manipulate shadows by, hiding in them, making items out of it, and sucking people into shadows.

Test A - ██/█/1946
Subject: American Whitetail Deer
Procedure: We are going to put the deer into a secure room with the Y-468 substance
Results: A highly aggressive creature that was not like a Gear Stalker, that broke out of the secured room, killed 3 security members until it was finally put down
Analysis: 4071 can make different kind of creatures depending on the type of creature that's used
█/█/1945, 14:00: A MTS of 5 members was sent into 4071's facility, after they enter the facility they head down a hallway, once they reach the end of that hall way, one of the members start feeling nauseous, but they keep on moving, then the cameras and audio cut out. When the camera and audio came on, the member of the team that felt nauseous was gone. When the Dr. asked where he was, they said they didn't know who he was talking about. The doctor dropped the subject, after 3 more minute of walking, they found a staircase, at the bottom of it they saw a shadowy figure move out of sight, the cameras and audio cut out.
█/█/1945, 15:00: The camera and audio came back on, but there were only two members left. They both forgot, who they were, what they were doing, and where they were. They both were having a rest, but then the cameras cut out but the audio stays on, there is a sound of one of the members screaming and getting slashed and ripped up, then the audio cuts out. Ten minutes later the camera and audio come back on, and the doctor asks what happened, she doesn't remember. The doctor tell her to start heading towards the exit, but she doesn't remember where the exit was. While trying to find the exit, she finds a boiler and forgets she was looking for the exit. While in the boiler room the door behind her locks, she turns and goes to push it, but when she turns around 4071's right behind her and the camera starts going staticky and we hear a loud scraping sound everywhere, then we lose all conection.
