Special containment procedures: as of the time of writing this document there appears to be no effective containment options available. However, because of the nature of SCP-000D it is partially self-contained to personnel it comes in contact with. Any member of personnel who comes into contact with SCP-000D should be transferred to site [#######] in order to slow down the spread of SCP-000D as much as possible.
Description: SCP-000D seems to be artificially during experiments done on various SCPs. When observed by research personnel SCP-000D takes appearance of a deceased D-class which at one time was involved with affected personnel member. Often affected personnel comments about how they „saw them die“ referring to the appearance of SCP-000D. However, personnel member who haven‘t killed a single D-class and/or who aren't responsible for a single D-class dying don‘t show an ability to perceive SCP-000D.
Any personnel witnessed SCP-000D get approached by it and questioned by it. Usually, SCP-000D tries to inquire the reason „why it was killed“. If given any details of its „death“, then SCP-000D lose the interest in the affected person and moves on to the new one. However, if it gets ignored, then it exibits one of three possible behavior patterns:
1) It will get extremely close to affected person and will continuously repeat the same questions preventing affected personnel member from having any rest. This persists even during the night, thus affected person will be unable to sleep. No person on the record managed to endure more than 48 hours in this phase and given in to revealing details of D-class‘s death whose appearance SCP-000D manfested;
2) Abandons current affected person to „haunt“ another viable person;
3) Take appearance of another viable D-class (if affected person killed or is responsible for the death of more than 1 D-class member).
Although the reasons of SCP-000D existence is unknown, any affected personnel are recommended to not communicate with it or reveal any details about any D-class.
It should be noted, that SCP-000D tends to avoid any other SCP which was responsible for at least 1 D-class personnel member‘s death. It is unknown whether it happens because of lingering memories or if it is just natural response towards danger. However, no affected member is allowed to use any SCP to ward off SCP-000D. An attempt to do so could result in a punishment.
In addition, SCP-000D appears to cycle though several stages of behavior. No known triggers are known to trigger the change in bahavior, but the states of behavior are easily recognizable. Those states are:
• State of searching: SCP-000D will search for any suitable personnel to inquire about its „death“. While in this state SCP-000D manifested abilities such as: phasing through walls, teleporting, becoming invisible, complete immunity to any physical harm, heightened awareness, etc;
• State of rest: while in this state SCP-000D seems to be immobile and does not perform any actions. Usually this state last anywhere between 1 and 4 hours. When this state ends it is usually follow with either the state of searching or the state of hunting;
• State of hunting: while in this state SCP-000D does not take appearance of any deceased D-class and can be perceived by any individual. It is reported to appear as reddish-blackish humanoid figure with no facial features, except mouth. Mouth appears to have about 60-64 sharp canine-like teeth. Hands and legs appears to be elongated, which gives SCP-000D assumed high to be about 2.6 meters. While in this state SCP-000D hunts any personnel members who have provided it with any detail of its „death“. After contacting such person SCP-000D will attempt to bite and beat them to death. However, while in this state SCP-000D does not show abilities of phasing through walls, teleportation and invisibility. This state can last for days, and it never ends unless at least a single invididual was killed by SCP-000D;
• State of [######]: no personnel allowed to interact or even acknowledge existence of SCP-000D while it is in this state. SCP-000D in this state will act as any particular deceased D-class personnel member while they were alive. Any attempts to interact with SCP-000D while it is in this state should be stopped with lethal force. In addition, [#######] until [#######], as this state usually lasts no more than 1 hour. It is assumed that interacting with SCP-000D during this state might cause additional instances of SCP-000D to spawn.
Personnel members stationed in the site [#######] are not allowed to transfer and no new SCPs are sent to site [#######]. No new D-class are sent to this site
After continues observations of SCP-000D some of researchers expressed signs of paranoia and psychosis as well as started questioning ethics and necessity of the foundation. It is not yet known whether it is the part of SCP-000D anomalous effects or just natural conclusion of being faced with something which takes appearance of someone who died because of you.

The date of the recording is…. Where the f##k is my watch? S##t, year is 2014, the month is June, the day is 16th and the time is… i swear some bastard is stealing all watches in the site. Well, doesn't matter. My research on SCP-000D produced inconclusive results. I don‘t know how it was created, where it was created or why it was created. I don‘t think we will ever know, and it doesn't really matter. All we can do is to try to contain it or at least gather everyone who might be affected into one place. Because it peruses mostly researchers, so at least we known where it can appear and who it might pursue. Gathering nearly every foundation member together isn't a perfect solution, but at least then we would known exactly where SCP-000D is.
The date of recording is 2014 July‘s 19th. The time is… probably night. Approximately 5 hours ago SCP-000D entered into hunting state. It managed to kill three researchers and one security guard before stopping. I might know what it is, but it sure feels like a punishment. Because… there must be a reason. Why does it take appearance of deceased D-class? Why does it torment us? It is unlike any other SCP, no, it is… I used to believe in god, but after working with foundations and seeing things with my own eyes… i lost my faith. I still believe in god, but i don‘t believe in a benevolent and merciful god. Now, i only believe in hateful and cruel one, something which i would never want to meet. I believe such evil god exists and this is his punishment for us.
2014… July‘s 26th… i haven‘t slept for about 52 hours already, but because i don‘t have a watch, so i can only speculate how long i haven‘t slept. We thought we could contain it, but it can‘t be contained. We were gathered here, kept like little lambs for the slaughter, and most of us don‘t even know why were are here or why we aren't allowed to leave…. I was wrong, that was the wrong course of actions. We didn't contain it, we only exposed ourselves and gathered the food for it to feed upon.
I think today is December‘s 7th, 2014. Security personnel tried to detain me, they were worried about my mental state. I am sane… I am only sane one around here. They act as if everything is alright, they are hiding everything. They are insane ones, they just hide it. Foundation hides everything, they lie to me and to themselves. This is just one big experiment for them. At first they forced us to kill those poor bastards, now they are killing us and feeding us to that thing…. I will not die here.
2014… December‘s… 9th… Current time: 09.24 AM… I found my watch… Hey, at least it is something. I am still alive, unlike 76 other people who were killed by SCP-000D… There is a certain rhythm to it… If you look closely enough, then you will see the pattern. At first it makes no sense, everything appears random. It rests at random times, hunt at random times, appears to random people, everything random, right? No… It is based on a grand design, it have a purpose. This thing is smart, much smarter than humans are, and it only gets smarter. Just look how it collects information. It isn‘t random. It learns about us, it learns what we do and it adapts. What‘s worse – we feed it. Think about it… Why does it ask about how someone else died? Who would need that information and why? Why it haunts us? What do we do here? How do we learn how other SCPs work?
2014 December‘s 15th – Doctor Johnson was found dead in his lab. He was most likely killed by SCP-000D during its state of hunting.
