Description:
SCP-5896 is a species of red, reptilian creature that is of a reddish hue, with a layer of flames covering the back of their body. SCP-5896 has also been recorded secreting a slightly flammable gel. This gel is referred to as SCP-5896-1. SCP-5896-1 is highly resistant to scratching and tearing when mixed with distilled water. Because of this property, it is commonly used to house fragile SCPs and equipment to protect it from damage when being transported.
SCP-5896 has been observed to rapidly replicate, often having up to 12 eggs every week. This is likely due to the fact that they are asexual creatures, meaning that each one is both male and female.
