rating: 0+x

Item #: SCP-053

Object Class: Euclid

Threat Level: Yellow

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-053 is to be contained in a Standard Secure Humanoid Containment Cell with adequate space to move around. SCP-053's cell is to be outfitted to suit the needs of a young child, and must have proper bedding and a functioning bathroom. Toys, books, games, and other recreational devices are to be amply provided and rotated at the request of SCP-053. While it does not seem to have a need for sustenance, food should be provided three (3) times daily, and two (2) snacks are allowed if requested.

Absolutely no physical contact is to be made with SCP-053 unless wearing a full atmosphere-containment suit and eye shielding. No sustained eye contact is to be made with SCP-053 for any reason. Any objects given to personnel by SCP-053 may be accepted, but must be put into quarantine for examination first to ensure that they are safe. Only one (1) member of personnel may be present in SCP-053's cell at any given time and must be secured by a safety line of steel cable in case they fall victim to SCP-053's effects. All personnel must exit SCP-053's containment chamber within 10 minutes of entering, no exceptions.

Any personnel who begin to act erratically, scream, or attempt to grab SCP-053 are to be immediately removed from the cell and quarantined. Any personnel attempting to remove their suit are also to be removed and quarantined. Under no circumstances may any sharp objects or firearms be brought into SCP-053's containment cell.

Description: SCP-053 appears to be a small 3-year-old girl of Caucasian descent, and possesses dark brown hair and brown eyes. It is capable of basic speech expected of a human child around the same age, and seems to be slightly above average in mental development. It has a generally pleasant personality and rarely seems upset, becoming agitated only in the presence of groups of people.

Any and all humans over the age of three who make eye contact with, physically touch, or remain around SCP-053 for longer than a total of around 10 minutes a day will rapidly become irrational, paranoid, and homicidal. Most if not all of these feelings will be directed at SCP-053, and affected people will attempt to kill SCP-053 as well as kill or drive off any other humans visible to them. Those attempting to kill SCP-053 will fatal massive heart attacks or seizures and expire almost immediately after causing any physical damage to SCP-053. SCP-053 will regenerate almost instantaneously from any wound, regardless of severity.

SCP-053 appears to be entirely ignorant of its effects, and ignores any and all subjects affected. When questioned about its anomalous effects, SCP-053 does not seem to be capable of responding, but will be in noticeably lower spirits for a few hours after any questioning about these effects. This happens after people are affected by SCP-053's effects as well, despite it not acknowledging said people during attacks. It is worth noting that even if effected personnel are removed from SCP-053's containment cell, they will remain hostile indefinitely. Testing has revealed that using amnestics on said individuals will negate SCP-053's effect and 'cure' them, although reintroducing them to SCP-053 will result in immediate hostility.

SCP-053 was contained on August ██, 196█ after appearing in downtown New York. A Foundation agent was alerted to the entity's presence when a group of people abruptly began attacking it and each other, with all those who attacked SCP-053 expiring almost immediately. SCP-053 was quickly subdued with tranquilizers and transported out of the city without further incident once back-up arrived. After the incident, Class-A amnestics were spread throughout the general population of the city and a cover story was spread via local news stations and news papers stating that a gunman was responsible for the deaths. Upon being brought to the Foundation, it was found that SCP-053 possessed no memory of anything prior to its containment, not even the event in which it was discovered.
