Item #: SCP-166

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: As of ██-██-████ SCP-166 is safeguarded within a Class-B suite at Site-17. Modifications to containment include a confined observation post adjacent to the suit, fit with all non-male faculty, and translucent acrylic panels to obscure all fields of vision throughout removal and transfer. Restriction of maleless personnel and the voluntary disregard of accurate posted warning signs, in the 12-meter range before the view of the Class-B suite, is to be advertised. All that fail to adhere or reside within the area despite cautionary warnings are subject to disciplinary review, termination, or amnestic rehabilitation. SCP-166s effects expand outside the range of physical viewing. As a result, no permanent record shall be kept of any photographic evidence of SCP-166's appearance.

Level 4 or higher authority has, to date, met reasonable requests for the following private items:

  • E-book reader with limited access to 100 translations of the Holy Bible (Douay-Rheims, Knox Version and Challoner Revision, etc.) (granted).
  • A Catholic Rosary (Granted).
  • Several prayer candles. (Denied.)
  • Access to a Catholic priest for confession, mass, and other sacraments (Denied).
  • Various books and magazines, mostly religious in nature (granted, pending review and approval of contents).
  • Transcript of the popes' ceremonial addresses. (Denied.)
  • A telephone with which to contact the Abbess of the ████████ ██ ████████ ██████████ Convent in Cornwall, England (granted: SCP-166 is to be allowed 1 hour of telephone time a week to this phone number only).

Contentedness of the subject can be maintained through provided media entertainment being of religious materials, books, television, and art supplies. As a deficiency of sunlight tends to cause pressure ulcers (bedsores) within a one month period, SCP-166 is to be allowed a 12-hour once a month excursion outside of Site-17 bounds, to an adjoined Island, uninhabited. According to Limited Release Protocol 19-A, the 12-meter area of discharge is to expand by 500m, with the same restrictions to male personnel applied.

When not able to be permitted, due to weather conditions, SCP-166 is allowed use of a tanning bed for temporary relief of conditions.

SCP-166 requires weekly administration of sustenance, orally, via 1 cc of human semen. For emergency utility, all on-site procurement is barred, as emergency stock is kept within nearby cold storage. Compromises between a local sperm bank for the foundations' supply chain. When of products based for human consumption reaches above the limit vulnerability to airborne particulate matter such as cigarette smoke and aerosols (which can induce symptoms similar to an acute asthma attack), increased sensitivity to pressure ulcers, and vomiting occurs.

Should any of SCP-166's comorbid health issues arise, medical evaluations should be followed up at least once per weak.

Description: SCP-166 resembles a female, Height is average, build is slender with curvaceous attributes. Weight fluctuates due to bulimia of the subject. Medical and physiological reports register several deviations including accelerated hair growth (approximately 20cm per month). Deficiency of bone mineral density and increased incidence of bone fractures due to hypothetical absence of sunlight is also studied. At full capacity for and end of its customary 'absorption period' to sunlight, SCP-166 has been stated to flash at 30 lumens. Another notable output is its healing to those within a 12-meter radius. This effect wears away after 3 minutes after diminishing of light.

Originally retrieved from a convent in Cornwall, England, on ██-██-████. According to the nuns, SCP-166 had originally been given to the covenants custody by a "person of repulsive influence and imperceptible features" who alleged SCP-166 to be the offspring of "an elder being of great power," following with the directions for her care. All attempts to locate the "mother" have been met with little to no success.

Specialty research and anonymous input have made note of SCP-166 Anomalous hallmarks: Upon established visual contact with SCP-166 any human male shows permanent patterned changes in testosterone levels to a nonspecific propensity to engage in high-risk sexual behavior. Resulting in self-destructive cases of escapism. Impulses faded In approximately 70% of these test subjects, after being removed from SCP-166's presence. In 30% of these cases, however, there is a correlation between previous desire turned into an obsession, Class-A amnestics were efficacious in 43% of these cases; the remainder required termination.

SCP-166's effect on males causes her a minute amount of distress, likely due to her desire to follow a monastic life based on its religious background, chasity, and asexual orientation.

Addendum 166-A: Circumstances of Retrieval:

SCP-166 was raised by the nuns in a cloistered environment until an arsonist violating probation snuck into the convent to burn the establishment accidentally caught a view of SCP-166. Three days later, the individual became violent and attacked the convent, attempting to gain access to SCP-166 and burn it to the ground. Subject A proceeded to kill one nun and severely injure three others before being neutralized by force.

A Foundation operative consulting with a local priest regarding an unrelated matter heard of the incident and proceeded to the scene. Agent Willow became enamored by SCP-166s anomalous effects, the operative immediately cut off contact, placed himself into confinement, and requested a female Operative from Command to take over the retrieval operation. Agent Beatrice Maddox initiated contact with the Mother Abbess shortly thereafter, taking custody of SCP-166 for containment and research, and administering amnestics to the congregation.

Interviewed: Excerpt memo from documented confession D5-234

Interviewer: Father Luther Marx the 2nd

Foreword: [Small passage describing the interview]

<Begin Log>

** Father Luther:** Hello, how have things been since my last visit?

Person: …horrible, I have done bad things since last we met, father.

Father Luther: Would you care to elaborate for confessing.

SCP-166: I dare not! For my shame is agitating to me, but I dare not hide it in the presence of our lord, so… I will do my best.

SCP-166: I am guilty of the sin of fornication. My misdeeds lie in my dreams… men and women desirous of me, scrambling in covet. All because of my deciet, it is my fault these holy men lead astray! Don't you see!?

Father Luther: How may you be deceitful?

SCP-166: I… have they not told you? The very reason we cannot meet, I fear father that I may be of devilish influence… a curse of possession, even the nuns at the covenant speak of it like this. I am a blasphemy… incarnate. Sacrilege.

Father Luther: My knowledge is limited, but, my child I can see you are very troubled…

SCP-166: I am, Father, I am. I confess my claim.

Father Luther: On the other hand, I do not see you as spiritually possessed, I see you as pure, a saint…

SCP-166: Nonsense! What saint leads the faithfull amiss!? I am the devils' seed!! Not worthy of his grace… or love…

(Suppressed sobs)

SCP-166: I am filthy…

Father Luther: Do not cry, you are forgiven now.

SCP-166: Thank you… I thank you, father.

Father Luther: Shall we pray?

SCP-166: Yes, I require penance…

Father Luther: Begin.

SCP-166: Several venial sins. I confess to my consumption of a burger on a Friday. To which I attempted to regurgitate. I grew a short temper and one man with weak will grew a wandering eye. And ultimately… That very evening I had to rush to confess my sin.

SCP-166: But none would listen but him… so I had let him in. He came back 3 weeks later…

Father Luther: And then?

Person: He had left his wife — swore to devote his life to me — I was mortified. I had split a union once more; holy sworn matrimony. For the destroyed happiness… I had to reject… But then he said what he said when he grew mad…

SCP-166:

Person 1: "It was all your fault all [mine], no one else's, you better take responsibility." I felt I had no choice… he forced his way inside…

Father Luther: May I—

Interviewer: They pulled him off…

SCP-166: I have… once again been defiled…

Father Luther: I will speak with your religious advisor on this… are you alright?

SCP-166:…yes I know that this tribulation will pass. Has long as I hold faith, and keep strong, with those around me… I can overcome this… and find forgiveness.

Father Luther: You will be in my prayers, dear one. I hope you will be okay.

Closing Statement: Beatrice Maddox to be deployed from Omega-7 on the matter of subjugating and terminating Agent ██████.

Foreword: This guy has always been a jerk wad. He didn't need 166s influence to show his true colors. But, it did give everyone a chance to get his secret out in the open. I'll handle this, and I'll take my man with me while I'm at it.

Addendum 166-E: Text of a letter, origin unknown, discovered in SCP-166's suite on ██-██-████.

Dear ██████,

I first met your mother when she was a girl. She had hooves for feet and starlight in her eyes. She was beauty and nature, and I killed her with my own two hands.

Eden isn't a place. It's a state of being. They wanted to take us back to it. I stopped them. I took paradise away from us for a second time. I have never regretted my actions on that day, except one: that when you first met me on that day, you saw your father put a bullet into the head of your mother. I make no excuses, only explanation. I hope you understand why I did what I did. I hope you forgive me.

I love you. I wish I could have done more for you. The best I could do was leave you in the hands of kind and loving people and hope they would raise you in my place. From what I've seen, they did well. I'm sorry you couldn't stay with them. I'm sorry they've brought you to this place. I promise to do my best to make sure your stay here is pleasant. I promise to keep you safe.

Happy sixteenth birthday, honey.

Your father,
████ ███████
