Special Containment Procedures: SCP-173 is held at Site-19 within a standard containment locker, which must be cleaned on a bi-weekly basis to prevent the buildup of unwanted substances. No more than three (3) Class-D personnel are to perform these tasks, with two (2) Class-D personnel maintaining direct eye contact with SCP-173 and alerting each other before blinking while the third Class-D cleans the containment locker. The enclosure is to be relocked afterward.
In the event of a containment breach involving SCP-173, a lockdown on Site-19 is to occur while personnel maintain eye contact until Mobile Task Forces arrive.
Description: SCP-173 is a humanoid-like statue, 1.8m tall. Composed of concrete and rebar, as well as faint traces of ██████-brand spray paint, the object's origin is currently unknown.
SCP-173 cannot move when in direct line of sight. When unobserved, SCP-173 has been recorded to travel at speeds between 110 to 130 km/h. The object has been observed to kill its victims via snapping the neck at the base of the skull or by strangulation.
Noises similar to stone scraping has been recorded emitting from inside the locker when nobody is inside. This behavior is considered normal and behavior and change of this behavior is to be reported to the Site Manager.
The reddish-brown substance accumulating on the floor of SCP-173's containment chamber is a mixture of feces and blood.1
