Special Containment Procedures: SCP-6628 is allowed to walk around Site-██ but is to stay away from all storage, due to SCP-6628 having an interest in socks. Should over 10 SCP-6628-1 instances be created, the site is to go into lockdown. Blue socks are not to be worn at the site. All Site-██ personnel should keep an extra sock matching their current pair on their person. D-Class personnel are to sleep without socks to reduce the growth of SCP-6628. Viewing SCP-6628 through direct contact or through security footage is strictly prohibited. All instances of viewing SCP-6628 have been reported of “falling into a trance-like sleep” by SCP-6628. SCP-6628 should not be enticed with socks and should not be recontained using force. SCP-6628 is to be fed 3 times a day. If SCP-6628 is not fed, it will show no enthusiasm to play or move. SCP-6628’s containment room is to have socks bolted on the walls so it will appear back in its room in the morning.
Description: SCP-6628 is an octopus-like being that is made out of socks with googly eyes. SCP-6628’s maximum height is 2.43 meters and has never been observed weighing more than 68 kilograms. SCP-6628 was found in a kindergarten in the janitor closet with 3 SCP-6628-1s protecting it, the 6628-1s were burned with fire and SCP-6628 was taken to Site-██. SCP-6628 is very playful and like humans and has shown interest to human like SCPs. SCP-6628 grows by adding socks to its body, with the exception of green and blue socks. If the sock is not green or blue, SCP-6628 will add it to its body. If presented with a green sock, SCP-6628 will open something that resembles a mouth and put the sock in. No green socks have ever been recovered from SCP-6628, but recovery may be possible. (See Incident 6628-A) When a blue sock comes in contact with SCP-6628, an instance of SCP-6628-1 is created. SCP-6628-1 is highly dangerous and should be contained immediately. SCP-6628’s nicknames are the

Description: D-18795 was instructed to wear the Foundation-issued green socks to bed. D-18795 was told to reach inside of SCP-6628 when it opened its mouth. D-18795 was awoken by SCP-6628 and attempted to reach inside its mouth after his socks were removed. D-18795 reported feeling the green socks, but was unable to remove them from SCP-6628 due to them being pulled away.

Description: Dr. ████████ brought in 10 identical blue socks and gave them to SCP-6628. SCP-6628-1 instances created using these socks caused massive physical trauma to 43 on-site guards, and ███████ was present on most corpses recovered. All SCP-6628-1 instances were terminated by MTF Unit ███. Dr. ████████ was found and terminated while attempting to entice SCP-6628 with even more socks.

Description: SCP-6628 was given a wet gray sock. SCP-6628 grabbed the sock and ran to a corner of the room. SCP-6628 induced unconsciousness in all personnel within 10 meters of it. However, Dr.█████, who is blind, did not suffer from this. Dr. █████ woke everyone back up, but SCP-6628 had vanished. It appeared back in its room 10 hours later. Shortly after SCP-6628’s disappearance, a sock identical to the one used in testing was found in D-████’s cell, but shredded and torn. D-████ reported never having seen the sock before.

Description: An incapacitated instance of SCP-6628-1 was placed in SCP-914 on the setting 1:1. The result was a green sock with no anomalous qualities. Another instance of 6628-1 was placed in SCP-914 on the setting Fine. The result was ███████, with a temper similar to SCP-682, causing over $4,000,000 in Site repairs. All personnel were evacuated off-site while MTF Squad ███ recontained ███████. SCP-6628-1 is to never be placed in SCP-914 again. Doing so will result in paying for the damages caused and termination once payment was completed.

Description: Dr.█████ attempted to monitor SCP-6628’s behavior within another SCP. SCP-6628 was placed inside of SCP-3008 with a built-in tracking chip. Within approximately 4 hours, SCP-6628 was found by on-site personnel of Site-██. Guards intercepted SCP-6628 and successfully recontained SCP-6628 without casualty. The tracking chip showed that SCP-6628 appeared out of thin air inside it’s containment room.
