Special Containment Procedures:
SCP XXXX is to be contained in an energy field approximately 3 1/2 feet in length, and 1 foot in height. 5 SCP Containment members must be stationed within SCP XXXX's containment case's room, scanning the room's every angle and observing the reactions of the object at any given time and report immediately to the supervisor on site. It is not to be touched or handled by any member of the Foundation without the express permission from 2 or more Class 4 Personal.

Description:
SCP XXXX is a singled handed combat sword made of an unknown material and was discovered by Foundation in 12/23/1- due to a massive energy surge from it in New [REDACTED] America. This surge was found to have been accidentally triggered by a young man who went by the name of [DATA EXPUNGED]. The properties of this material have been observed to be able to change its form into other varieties of weapons to disable and cause harm to it opponents, the most unusual being a set of dark chains that can go on for miles. The properties of SCP XXXX have also been noticed to corrupt all those who are wounded by it or attempt to wield it with malicious intentions. The corruption is not instantaneous, rather a slow coursing disease like in rate. The corruption process starts with a wound, such as a stab, cut, or severe bruise the subject of the attack. After, the subject will show signs of increased anger and aggression towards those who try to harm SCP XXXX or use it. When being used or corrupting a person, the blade of SCP XXXX will glow purple from lines and markings found upon the blade. The corrupted subjects have been noted to murmur and on occasion scream for the master of the sword to free them from their prison of the earth. The other process involves the wielder, if the wielder means to use SCP XXXX for evil intentions, (e.g. pointless killing), then the subject will slowly fade into a wraith of pure malice. This process takes up to a max of four months depending on the severe amount of evil intentions.

Addendum:
It has been noticed that the corrupted subjects will kill all those around them saying that,"they are not servants of the master." Occasionally they have one of them find and take a family member of anyone of them and turn him or her into a "servant of the master's blade." These subjects were then terminated to prevent their containment breach and more turnings of the family members. Another thing to note, is that the one who wields the sword has control over those the sword corrupted, and can command them to attack others, capture them, and bring them to be used for anything from a ransom, to an addition to the corrupted ranks. Their actions are dictated by the wielder only. If the wielder wishes them to do good deeds, then they will do good deeds. If the wielder wishes them to do nefarious deeds, they have no choice but to obey. The final note, are the markings on the guard. A symbol of three weapons; A single handed sword, a doubled bladed single handed, and a staff. The sword is assumed to represent Malice's Blade, but the other two, have yet to be figured. It is theorized that the other symbols represent other weapons that probably have similar abilities to SCP XXXX. If so, they must be found and contained immediately to prevent similar results.
