Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5438 is to be held in a 15 foot by 15 foot holding cell. No less that 2 members of level 4 clearance or higher are allowing in SCP-5438's cell. Researchers are only allowed in the SCP's containment cell for 15 minutes incase it becomes unstable. Light is to be constantly on SCP-5438. Lightbulbs are to be changed one a week.

Description: SCP-5438 is a humanoid figure is 6ft and 4in. It has no body mass and resembles a walking shadow. The only light emitting from SCP-2748s body is its eyes, which are white. It appears to be wearing a black top hat that seems to be melded with its figure. It is usually very docile but only when light is shown on it. D-class personnel who have been instructed to make contact with SCP-5438 have said to have had sever headaches and hallucinations of a black silhouette in the corner of there vision. Around 23 days later the D-class personnel died of unknown causes.

Addendum: When SCP-5438 was taken in for questioning the entity spoke in a garbled static males voice. When asked were he came from it replied "different place". When the interrogator asked what it meant it said the following "darker place, no light no people,just dark". The interrogation ended shortly after. So far SCP-5438 has made one escape attempt when the cells lights went out. The SCP only managed to get into the observation room before the lights came back on.
