The Symptomoidic Glove

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a standard plastic storage container and stored in Locker-██ located in Site ███, and is only accessible by Level 2 or higher personnel for testing purposes only. In the event of a containment breach, SCP-XXXX is to take high priority and taken by MTF units in a secure metal container to the nearest secure Site. If SCP-XXXX is lost, it's Object Class is to be automatically changed to Keter.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a black, woollen glove that fits the average adult hand. When worn by someone displaying symptoms of any illness or disease, anybody within a 3 meter radius of the person wearing the glove will display the same symptoms as the wearer. After SCP-XXXX is removed, the effect of SCP-XXXX will remain on the infected person(s) until they exit the range of the wearer.
SCP-XXXX is thought to be indestructible, but requests for further testing involving other SCPs are pending. It has shown to be resistant to bullets/any other form of ammunition, fire, acidic substances and explosives.
SCP-XXXX has shown to be conductive of electricity similar to the extent of industrial-grade steel. When given a direct electric charge of over approximately 600 volts, the SCP's range will increase by approximately one meter per 280 volts. The more the SCP's range increases, the spread symptoms are amplified, such as more severe coughing fits and coughing up blood, lost voices, extreme tiredness to the point of fainting and much larger tumours than those of the wearer.

Addendum: SCP-XXXX was found alongside an identical black glove with no anomalous properties on the body of Doctor █████ at Site ██, who was diagnosed with lung cancer a week before. He was killed by severe electrocution and 9 Foundation Personnel passing by the test chamber of SCP-████, where he was found dead later, were killed after their lungs burst suddenly from sudden large cancerous tumours that appeared in their chests seconds after the time of Doctor █████'s death. The gloves he used were Foundation made and investigation into the protective clothing production has been accepted. Investigation into why Doctor █████ was not wearing electrically insulated gloves to deal with an electricity based SCP has been denied as information on his medical history has been recently revealed.
