SCP-3962

Item #: SCP-3962

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures:

SCP-3962 is to be kept in a 7 x 7 meter containment chamber held up 2 meters off of the ground by a platinum plated rope at Site-██. Any platinum seen lunging out from the rope is to be replaced immediately by a member located in the Security Department. It is required any foundation personnel be found at least 6.713 meters away from the containment chamber while the rope is being exchanged unless specially directed to by the O5 Council. Any substances located inside or outside SCP-3962's containment chamber that were not put there by a Class-D test subject are to be disposed of immediately under O5 Command.

The containment chamber is to be filled entirely of H2O for 50 seconds every 2 hours and then drained. If there is any excess water left after the draining, a lock down of Sector-█ at Site-██ occurs shortly later.

Description: SCP-3962 consists of SCP-3962-1 and SCP-3962-2. SCP-3962-1 is a small bottle of salt water. The bottle of water (0.1016 meters tall) has engravings in it that seem to be able to speak telepathically to any Homo Sapiens in a 4 meter radius.

SCP-3962-2 is a small pill, Orange and Magenta colored. Inside of the pill there is a almost infinite deposit of hydrochloric acid. It is unknown how any of this hydrochloric acid appeared inside of this pill, as it appears any liquid to enter the pill is spit back out and becomes magnetic. Any extremely dry objects that come in contact of SCP-3962-2 are known to disappear with seemingly no trace until a later date.

When SCP-3962-2 comes into contact with SCP-3962-1, it is unknown as to what happens entirely, but the pill seemingly turns into ash and SCP-3962-1 starts overflowing at an alarming rate. This rate can fill as fast as 0.075 liters per second.

Approximately 20 minutes after the collision, time seems to freeze for 350 seconds (as seen on camera footage) and then SCP-3962-2 is seen back in its containment chamber in a number of locations. After this 350 second time freeze, nobody appears to have any recollection of any events that took place in that time freeze. This time freeze is known to have negative effects on brick, wood, dirt, and plant-life in a 300 meter radius. There have also been incidents where personnel have been seen rogue in the time freeze, resulting in personality changes over the personnel seen going rogue.

This time freeze appears to anger SCP-3962-1, causing the engravings to be seen as English consisting of very foul language that directed towards SCP-3962-2. This appears to have a negative effect on SCP-3962-2, as it will not respond to SCP-3962-1 when put into a collision until a 72 hour period has passed. When SCP-3962-2 is left inside of SCP-3962-1 for the duration of the 72 hours, there is known to be a time freeze for approximately 96 hours. This has caused countless hours of research to be lost to amnesia in Site-██ and Site-██.

Addendum: SCP-3962's Recovery

SCP-3962-1 and SCP-3962-2 were found in ██████, India after incidents reported of flooding in the town of █████████ in 04/██/████ where no rainfall had been for months. After agents ██ and █ evacuated the town, Site-██ was build over the lake, to ensure no more SCPs were in the area. Outlaws roaming the perimiter were turned into Class-D and used for further testing on SCP-3962.
[Interview log of a civilian found wandering by the lake]

Date: April ██, ████
Interviewer: Agent ██████
Interviewee: D-██82

[BEGIN LOG]

Agent ██████: Do you have any idea as to why we pulled you into this office on this day?

D-██82: Yes, I remember one of your agents telling me that I have a interview waiting for me inside of this room for transport to [REDACTED].

Agent ██████: Will you have any issue with any of the questions I ask you if they are personal?

D-██82: Probably not unless they are completely absurd.

Agent ██████: Do you have any backstory to this fine lake we are sitting over as we speak?

D-██82: Yeah, but I'm not sure how much this will help you. Me and my wife were sitting and eating breakfast with our two kids and a pill dropped down in our front yard. It was quite a colorful pill, so we picked it up and took it to our nearest pharmacist to see what it was. We left it at the pharmacist, and a couple days later when we went to the pharmacy to check on their progress, there was a lake in place of the half of the town where the pharmacy was. The pill was seen in the same place where the pill was taken for experimentation. We collected a bottle of the lake's water and it disappeared the next day. We have no recollection of what happened after that, though we remember leaving the pill in the bottle of water.

Agent ██████: Send him to cell block █. We have no use for him anymore.

//The D class begins cussing out Agent ██████ and the log ends abruptly without any more interviews with the D-class found roaming. //
