Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4062 is to be stored in a 74.1 cm x 38.1 cm ballistic glass display case on a standard mahogany display rack at Site 19. Display case is to be surrounded by LTI security lasers at all times. Any attempt to remove 4062 from it's case without authorization shall be met with immediate termination. Checks on a weekly to bi-weekly basis are mandatory to find any cracks or weaknesses in 4062's case. If such are found 4062 is to be stored in a undisclosed warehouse until any repairs or replacements to it's casing are complete.
Description: At first glance 4062 appears to resemble a Japanese Katana. It possesses a sienna Tsuka, black Samegawa, copper Menuki in the shape of a Mamushi (or Japanese Pit Viper), copper Kashira, a square shaped copper Tsuba with the small Kanji characters that translates to "For Honor and Peace" and a plain copper Habaki. Lastly, the Saya is made from wood from an Isunoki tree and is painted black with a Mamushi painted on opposite sides with an sienna Sageo wrapped and tied around the Kurikata. Upon close examination, it is determind that the sword was forged between the late Azuchi-Momoyama Period and early Edo Period. Despite it's age, it appears to be in relatively pristine condition, possessing minute scratches on it's blade and other areas of it's body. Whenever someone draws 4062 from it's Saya, multiple sharp tendrils that are approximately 0.125 cm in width and 30.48 cm in length will erupt from the Tsuka and pierce through the wielder's (now deemed SCP-4062-1) hand in multiple areas to hijack all muscles and tendons in the hand, leaving their hand in a fixed position where they are gripping the hilt. (It is currently unknown whether the tendrils are made from the same material as the Tsuka. or not). Approximately 2 minutes after hijacking, 4062-1 will experience a Migraine headache that will cause them to writhe in agonizing pain. 4062-1 will then faint due to the pain. During this time, blood will seep into 4062-1's Epidermis, causing their skin to gain a light red pigmentation followed by 4062-1's eyes to become bloodshot with blood secreting from their tear ducts. Within 5 minutes, 4062-1 will regain consciousness in an extremely agitated state and will attmept to attack and kill anyone within the same proximity as 4062-1. During a "slaying episode" (which is what Dr. ████ deemed due to the nature of 4062) or combat episode, 4062-1 will display an amazing display of swordsmanship, able to perform Iaidō, Bushido & Kenjutsu styles of swordsmanship at master level even if they never studied them. 4062-1 will also display an increase in strength, speed and durability. Furthermore, 4062-1 will gain regenerative healing (similar to SCP-096) and can recover from being shot, stabbed, bludgeoned or burned in a span of a minute. Though it's possible to sever 4062-1's limbs, the limb that 4062 is attached to cannot due to the massive increase in durability in the muscles. Any attempt to forcefully detach 4062 from 4062-1 while they are conscious have been futile. Currently, there are one of two ways of detachment from 4062: #1: By causing 4062-1 to lose consciousness (such as a blow to the head or by an incapacitating agent). #2: By termination. Whenever 4062-1 kills using 4062, the blood of the victim (4062-2) will be "absorbed" into the blade of 4062. Whenever blood is absorbed, the blade will gain a red coloration followed by an increase in sharpness and length. 4062 (if allowed) will continue doing this until it's blade is completely black and it's length being 92.3 cm in length (the length of an Ōdachi). Despite looking robust, 4062-1 apparently can swing the sword as if it were light as a feather. After being detached from 4062-1, 4062 will return to it's normal state prior to be wielded by 4062-1. SCP-4062 was retrieved on October 1st, 199█ after a member of the Yakuza went on a killing spree in Akihabara. 4062-1 (real name Yoshi █████) was terminated during the retrieval mission.
- Experiments/Incidents
- January 23rd, 2001: Combat Test : D-19905, convicted of multiple accounts of rape was ordered to use SCP-4062 in an open yard in Site 19 with 5 other D-Class armed with various melee weapons. D-19905 underwent the effects of 4062 and the 5 other D-Class were ordered to attack D-19905. D-19905 proceeded to slaughter the other D-Class with relative ease. D-19905 was terminated after test was declared finished.
- May 11th, 2003: Accidental Breach: Rookie MTF Agent Miles was ordered to take 4062 to undisclosed warehouse due to weaknesses was confirmed in 4062's case. Agent Miles (unaware of 4062's effects) proceeded to draw 4062 from it's Saya out of curiosity then immediately underwent 4062's effects. Agent Miles proceeded to go on a rampage, killing 7 scientists, 2 D-Class & 11 Fellow MTFs. Agent Miles was sedated via sleeping gas and had 4062 detached afterwards. Agent Miles was terminated due to breach of contract.
- June 30th, 2007: Sharpness Test: D-77167, convicted of armed robbery & grand theft auto, was ordered to use 4062 to cut through multiple materials (a block of Titanium, one large Diamond and one large block of Bedrock). D-77167 complied and drew 4062. 4062 was shown to be extraordinarily sharp, being able slice through the materials with relative ease. D-77167 was able to to cut the materials to multiple fragments. The test was declared a success and D-77167 was sedated then taken back to their cell after being detached from 4062.
