Item #: SCP-4083

Object Class: Euclid

Threat Level: Orange

Special Containment Procedures:

SCP-4083 is to be kept in a cell at least 8x8 meters wide and 15 meters tall. SCP-4083 must be suspended above the ground by reinforced steel wires, and must be checked bi-monthly for any impurities or signs of erosion. Any cracks or dents in the wire must be reported to Level-4 Personnel, so that it may be replaced. The hooks connecting the wires to SCP-4083 should be surgically implanted underneath the skin in such a manner that it does not cause significant pain to SCP-4083. Any requests to turn on or off the Television, change the channel, or to make a move in Checkers for it shall be granted. Primary method of feeding is to be funneled into his mouth via a pipe. In the event of the steel wires snapping, the emergency 2500 watt electromagnetic should enable, and the magnets attached to SCP-4083 will repel against the magnets, suspending it in air until Technicians can reattach it.

Description:

SCP-4083 is an African-American male in his mid-30's. Its anomalous properties occur when it touches anything with solid matter. Despite its consistency or strength, the object immediately "repels" away at the touch, defying known laws of Physics. When SCP-4083 touched something, for example a door, its hand will act like the object doesn't exist, and a dent the size of its hand, or finger, will be pressed into the door. Observing on the molecular level shows that the atoms in SCP-4083 don't repel from other atoms, but instead push into the other atoms, forcing their gravity to repel. This process is similar to pushing into a pile of plastic balls.

Addendum: SCP-4083 was discovered in a 911 call about a report of someone who phased through the floor. MTF Unit Epsilon-6 was dispatched to investigate the anomaly. In the residence of ██████, a 0.5 meter wide hole was discovered in their back yard. The hole was too narrow to exposition, so the MTF unit was held on standby. Approximately 45 minutes after the initial report, SCP-4080 was reported to reach the other side of the Earth, and was falling back towards the initial location. 48 minutes after this report, it had made it back in the backyard. MTF personnel swiftly threw magnets with a reinforced sticky underside to attach to SCP-4083. A 1500 watt electromagnetic was placed under SCP-4083, and suspended it in the air. This was used as a temporary transport until it was secured in permanent containment.

Interview Log #01
Dr. █████ When did you first exhibit these properties?
SCP-4083 I dunno, man. I think it was ███████ ██, ████?
Dr. █████ That was 4 months before MTF found you, why haven't you had an incident like that before?
SCP-4083 I was aware of the stakes at hand. One slip-up, and I could've burnt into a crisp in the middle of the Earth.
Dr. █████ How did you avoid falling into the ground, then?
SCP-4083 It doesn't work that well on my feet, more like quicksand. But, it did seem like my hands phased through instantly. One day I tripped on a rock, and fell face first into the ground.
Dr. █████ That brings me to another topic, how didn't you burn in the Earth?
SCP-4083 I have no idea. I-I think it may have been because it… uh. It pushed the heat away?
SCP-4083 becomes increasingly nervous.
Dr. █████ SCP-4083, I'd like it if you-
SCP-4083 "SCP?" I'd like it if you refered to me as a human being. These lines of questioning are not going nowhere.
Dr. █████ "Sir," can you please answer the question truthfully.
SCP-4083 Listen, you and me both know I have the upper hand. I can cut these wires right here, right now.
Dr. █████ Guards, be careful it might-
SCP-4083 severed the wires holding its self up, and the magnetic was immediately activated.
Dr. █████ This is Dr. █████, and this interview is put on hold.
