Item #: SCP-4108

Object Class: Thaumiel Neutrilized See addendum 1

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4108 is to be guarded by the United States military under the guise of a nuclear testing site. Security personnel are to be comprised of [Data Expunged] dressed in traditional United States Army garb and are to be stationed [Data Expunged] km from SCP-4108. Any personnel authorized by four level 3 personnel, including the authorization of O5-8. Only Class D personnel are permitted to be used for research into SCP-4108, and equipped with a standard Geiger-Muller Counter to read radiation levels. Any unauthorized personnel found accessing the [Data Expunged] KM perimeter around SCP-4108 are to immediately be terminated by [Data Expunged] security personnel, their bodies [Redacted] and families informed of the trespassers suicide by [Redacted], and a body double to be set in their place with injuries consisting of the "real" cause of death, suicide by [Redacted]. Signs indicating high levels of radioactivity are to be posted [Data Expunged] KM away from SCP-4108. SCP-4108 is to be referred to as an atomic testing site and designated as the "first atomic warhead detonation". The outside perimeter may be freely explored by tourists and any other personnel alike. The deeper portions of SCP-4108 are to only be accessed by personnel authorized by Dr.[Redacted]

Description: SCP-4108 seems to take the form of a former SCP Foundation containment site in the Nevada desert, though no files or records of the site can be found by any personnel, including O5 personnel. Due to the radioactivity of the site, it is assumed that the site had suffered a catastrophic containment breach, and it's on-site atomic warhead armed and detonated, destroying most of the facility. The nature of the exact SCPs that the site contained is unknown, but the remaining containment cells indicate the past containment of SCP-[Redacted] as well as SCP-[Redacted]. Remaining paint on the walls refer to the site as Site-[Redacted], though as stated, no records of Site-[Redacted] exist.

Additional Notes: Though the atomic warhead was detonated at the location of SCP-4108, the radiation remains underground, and the underground portions of SCP-4108 remain partially radioactive. No files or SCP anomalies can be found within SCP-4108 see addendum 2. Additional research is not required at this time.

Addendum 1
Due to the nature of SCP-4108, the object class has been changed from Thaumiel to Neutralized with authorization from O5-8 - O5-12, though

Addeundum 2
During a research expedition into SCP-4108 on the day of the detonation of the warhead, July 12, 1945, only a single scrawled note was found in the former containment cell of SCP-[Redacted]. The note only stated the following:

We can't let it out. Detonating the warhead. Inform Truman. O5-[Redacted]

Note from Dr.[Redacted] on August 5, 1945:

Honestly, this is just crazy. There's no Foundation or government records of this site. It's obviously explained, I don't care what any O5 says.

Note from O5-[Redacted] on August 6, 1945:

Who do you trust?
