Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4143 is not to be approached under any circumstances whatsoever to avoid any facility members slowly being driven insane. SCP-4143 is contained in a locked closet in the basement of Site-77. Specific instructions are not to open or unlock the closet under any circumstances.
Description: SCP-4143 is a full-length mirror that appears to have a crack running down its front. The mirror is not in good condition; it is covered in dust. If somebody looks at it for more than 5 seconds, they will find themselves with the following symptoms within a matter of hours:
- Subject will find themselves transported into their nightmares every night.
- the mirror is granted full access to the subject's memories, and all which convey positive emotion are terminated.
- The subject will remember all the most embarrassing memories, all the ones where it was bullied or hurt, or upset; every day the subject is introduced to a new bad memory.
The subject will slowly go insane as no good memories are in its head after about a week. Subject will also attempt to kill anybody who talks to it as that will only "add to the subject's stress." Luckily this is easily unavoidable, hence the current location of SCP-4143.
