Special Containment Procedures: SCP 4145 is to be contained within a glass jar measuring 5.6 X 5.6 X 7 inches. It is to be fed precisely 13.5 MG of store-bought honey (Any brand) per day. If any more than this amount is fed, the effects to the foundation would be catastrophic (See test 13-B). All personnel not in a romantic relationship must have level 4 clearance & be verified before entering to avoid the adverse effects of "The Love Bug".

Description: SCP 4145 are small insects, which appear to be Scorpionflies or Mecoptera they seem to have no anomalous properties until they come across a compatible pair of humans of the opposite sex. It will proceed to bite both around the nape area, injecting them with a fluid that causes a mass release of pheromones & hormones to attract the other target. This effect is permanent with no found cure. The only known resistance is being in a romantic relationship before being bitten. If highly reactive, the subject will proceed to leap on each other and acts if animals in mating season. The female will become incredibly attractive to all males within 500 M but the male will become highly protective of her. Even if a challenging male gets to the female she will pay him no attention and continue to follow the original male around. If uninterrupted, the Male & Female subjects will continue to compliment & spend time with each other for as long as they are together.
When separated, both get a feeling of longing for each other & when reunited the "Love Potion Effect" is increased ten-fold. After biting the two targets the fly will search for another & they will mate then die. The female SCP 4145 can lay up to 4500 eggs.
