An SCP that was Replaced

Item #: SCP-427

Object Class: Replaced

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-427 must be kept in Foundation custody in case it becomes active again.

Description: SCP-427 is a pair of dark red curtains about 6 meters tall, connected by a metal rod about 1 meter long. How SCP-427 used to work is when somebody closed SCP-427 when placed in front of a window, the person sees an alternate dimension titled SCP-427-1. The people living within SCP-427-1 all look like the person who opened SCP-427, but it isn’t sure if their DNA is also like the person who opened SCP-427 as attempting to enter SCP-427-1 by going through the window will cause the dimension to vanish, leaving what would normally be on the other side of the window. Most of the time, these people, titled SCP-427-2, will attempt to tell the user about a future event. Every future event mentioned by SCP-427-2 has happened in real life at some point, usually a week after at most. SCP-427-2 has never been shown to be hostile.

Addendum 427-01: On [REDACTED], SCP-427-2 showed a picture of the current SCP-427, along with signs that said, “this is the last time we meet for a long time. It was a pleasure knowing you.” After this moment, SCP-427 is, currently, neutralized, and the new SCP-427 is now taking the place of the original SCP-427 in the catalogs. However, the old SCP-427 will be kept in Foundation custody for when it starts working again, as the signs said it’s the last time “for a long time.”
