Special Containment Procedures: SCP-7402 is contained within a 45 by 50 foot rectangular
dimly lit containment chamber so that no shadows are cast so the anomaly can't cast hide inside a shadow to escape containment
Description: SCP-7402 also known as the shadow king, is an anomalous entity that appears to be made out of shadows, the entity is currently contained within site 21, which is located in the mountains of Connecticut. The anomaly was discovered on 6-18-2019 in the new haven region when a woman discovered her shadow was acting strange, upon SCP-7402's containment it was discovered by the lead researcher of the anomaly. Senior researcher Doctor Sandra Walker, that the anomaly cannot hold it's physical form and has 2 ways of maintaining one, one way is to hide itself within a shadow and feast off of the host shadow's shade and the other way is to take control of someone's body and when it goes through with the second option the host's mind consciousness is still active just suppressed it's voice sounds like that of a caucasian male in his 30s, the entity showed no signs of an escape attempt, until the 7402 containment breach incident of 8-5-2022, when the power in the entity's containment chamber went out allowing it to escape. By the time the power came back on it was gone, unfortunately DR. walker was in the room at the time and it had just enough time to take over her body, it had used her body to go on a rampage throughout the site, The MTF eventually did subdue the entity and managed to calm it down and Dr walker did regain control, but it didn't leave her body, Dr walker later said it was the single most terrifying thing she had ever experienced in her life
Addendum: For 2 years Dr walker lived with the shadow king inside her body with it seeing what she sees, and hearing what she hears however it has also become more docile it occasainally talks to to her and telling her things, a few days ago it told her something that would haunt her forever. "the kingdom of shadows will rise again soon"
