Item #: SCP-4443-J
Object Class: Keter Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4443-J, hereby to be referred to in verbal conversation as "John" is currently uncontained. Foundation field operatives are alerted when SCP-4443-J is believed to be spotted. When or if brought into foundation custody, SCP-4443-J is to be pending termination (see termination proposal under description) immediately. While termination is pending, SCP-4443-J is to be contained within a solid steel cube at least 4 meters in length, depth, and height. Multiple layers is heavily recommended. Containment currently under construction.
CONTAINED. SEE INCIDENT SCP-4443-J-B.
SCP-4443-J is currently contained at Site-██ and is awaiting neutralization. SCP-4443-J is contained within a 5m x 5m x 5m steel cube with a rectangular electronic door, opened once a day to provide food. Food fed to SCP-4443-J is to be modified depending on SCP-4443-J's form. SCP-4443-J is restricted from leaving it's containment. Interviews with SCP-4443-J are restricted to Level-3 clearance or higher as of ██/██/20██ and may only be interviewed when adopting the form of John. During interviews, testing, and cube cleanings, SCP-4443-J is permitted to exit their cube and roam freely in the designated containment zone with security supervision. In the event of a containment breach, personnel are to use flamethrowers stocked in the containment viewing room to immobilize SCP-4443-J.
Description: SCP-4443-J is a shape-shifting creature of mammal descent, resembling a spider-humanoid hybrid (as described by surviving witnesses) when not adopting a form. The creature commonly adopts a humanoid form described as being a white American male approximately █ feet in height and appears to be around ██ years of age. SCP-4443-J will only adhere to the name "John" when adopting said form.
SCP-4443-J, amongst adopting different forms, is able to reshape aspects of it appearance on an atomic level, fully modifying its DNA. These modifications unexplainably seem to function like the machinery is will sometime mimic; including (most commonly) firearms, and steampunk objects.
Whilst contained, SCP-4443-J is granted interviews with research personnel with Level-4 clearance or higher. SCP-4443-J is described as having a charismatic voice and often displays refined mannerisms. SCP-4443-J hasn't displayed violent mannerisms during any aforementioned interviews, and as of ██/██/20██, clearance required to interview SCP-4443-J was lowered to Level-3 clearance or higher.
SCP-4443-J has shown the ability to corrupt files, virtual and paperwork, discussing it's existence. Always referring to itself in humanoid form. SCP-4443-J emits pressurized electromagnetic waves when modifying said documents, affecting technology surrounding them whilst they're being modified. SCP-4443-J's initial virtual document was found defaced and corrupted following a power outage in the light containment zone at Site-██. The current backup file you're viewing was created following the irreversible corruption of the initial file. Precautions are being taken by the writers of this document.
SCP-4443-J is capable of being harmed but not fully killed as most humans or animals normally would. Having sustained multiple, typically fatal, bullet wounds and appears to heal quicker than the average healthy adult. SCP-4443-J's healing and resistance capabilities seems to vary depending on it's current form. However, SCP-4443-J, has not yet been officially terminated, despite the foundation and US law enforcement's best efforts. As of this page's most recent revision, the best method of harming SCP-4443-J is via dispensed flame or explosives. Firearms and rifles prove effective at immobilizing SCP-4443-J temporarily until healing takes place.
SCP-4443-J Termination Proposal: On the date of termination, SCP-4443-J will be released from approximately 3 meters in the air into an acidic chamber. The chamber is to inhabit acidic substance of the same properties used to immobilize SCP-682, per the agreed upon termination method. The acidic material from within the chamber will keep SCP-4443-J from regenerating. A (currently undecided) oily substance will be pumped into the chamber and personnel above, and at a distance, will release flames into the chamber, burning SCP-4443-J. This step is to be repeated until SCP-4443-J is neutralized on semi-atomic level. After SCP-4443-J has been melted on a (semi)atomic level, SCP-4443-J will be considered successfully neutralized. In the event SCP-4443-J manages to regenerate, the termination attempt is to be cancelled. Date of termination currently undecided.
Incident 4443-J-A: On ██/██/20██, Mobile Task Force Psi-7 was deployed to parking garage in ██████, ████████ after foundation agents intercepted calls of anomalous outages occurring near the location. Several murders were seemingly linked with the outages. Psi-7 cornered SCP-4443-J in its humanoid form after it ran from operatives. The only surviving operative, the deployment leader, states an unidentified semi-automatic pistol grew from the person's hand seemingly instantly, firing rounds on the Mobile Task Force operatives. The deployment leader took cover behind a car whilst SCP-4443-J ran, leaving 4 of the operatives dead and the rest bleeding out.
Incident 4443-J-B: On ██/██/20██, a group of foundation external agents in Montana discovered SCP-4443-J whilst hiking in the Rocky Mountains. SCP-4443-J was spotted leaving ███████, a nearby hotel in a form of a black cat wearing a 19th century silk top hat. The group followed the cat from a distance before it morphed into the form of "John." In which an agent requested immediate backup. Team Leader ███████ lit a box of matches they had and tossed them in the direction of SCP-4443-J, hitting it. Upon arrival, Mobile Task Force Lambda-12 immediately immobilized SCP-4443-J, using a flame thrower to keep it down. SCP-4443-J was transported by unmarked foundation helicopter to Site-██, where it was contained per the agreed upon containment procedures.
