SCP-4632 (by BlueBitDuck)

Item #: SCP-4632

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4632 is to be contained within a climate-controlled containment chamber at Site-22, maintained at a temperature below freezing (–5°C to –10°C) to minimize any potential changes in its structure. The chamber must be equipped with a reinforced observation window and a secure entry point for personnel.

Personnel entering the containment chamber must wear a minimum of 5 meters of snow or snow-like material (e.g., artificial snow) around their bodies. This requirement is mandatory to prevent any interaction with SCP-4632 that could result in unintended absorption. Under no circumstances should personnel attempt to physically interact with or disrupt SCP-4632, as previous attempts have resulted in severe containment breaches. In the event of an uncontrolled interaction or breach, Site-22 security personnel are to initiate lockdown procedures and attempt to contain the area until SCP-4632 is re-secured. Mobile Task Force Delta-4 ("Winter Watch") is to be on standby for immediate deployment in case of emergency. Description: SCP-4632 is an anomalous snowman, resembling a typical snowman built by a child, complete with coal eyes, a carrot nose, and a scarf. SCP-4632 was discovered in [REDACTED] during the summer of 1974, where it was noted to be impervious to melting despite the high temperatures in the area. The primary anomalous property of SCP-4632 manifests when any individual attempts to interact with or knock it over. Subjects who physically contact SCP-4632 are absorbed into its body, at which point SCP-4632 increases in volume by an amount equivalent to the absorbed individual. The absorbed subjects are presumed to be trapped within SCP-4632, as no signs of them have been recovered.SCP-4632 demonstrates a degree of sentience, exhibiting a playful demeanor through movements and expressions. It can be seen shifting its "body" and occasionally rearranging its features, although it does not appear to exhibit any malicious intent unless provoked. To effectively contain SCP-4632, personnel must be covered in snow or snow-like material. This requirement appears to create a barrier that prevents SCP-4632 from absorbing any individuals who are adequately covered.

Addendum 4632-A: Incident Log

Incident 4632-01
- Date: [REDACTED]
- Description: During an initial containment attempt, two personnel attempted to knock over SCP-4632. Both personnel were absorbed, and SCP-4632 grew significantly in size. The containment chamber was sealed, and the two personnel were declared missing.

Incident 4632-02
- Date: [REDACTED]
- Description: A test was conducted to determine SCP-4632’s reaction to various environmental conditions. When exposed to temperatures above freezing, SCP-4632 exhibited no signs of melting. Subsequent interactions resulted in further absorption incidents. All personnel were required to adhere strictly to snow coverage protocols.

Conclusion: SCP-4632 poses a significant containment challenge due to its ability to absorb individuals and grow in size. Continued research is necessary to explore its properties and potential weaknesses. All personnel are reminded to wear an adequate amount of snow when interacting with SCP-4632 to avoid absorption.

Note: Personnel are encouraged to document any unusual behaviors exhibited by SCP-4632 during observation periods, and all findings should be reported to the Site Director for further analysis.
