Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-4897 is to be contained within a hermetically sealed containment chamber measuring 8 m × 8 m × 5 m, constructed from reinforced tungsten-steel alloy and internally lined with a lead-composite polymer. The chamber is to be equipped with an active ultrasonic emitter calibrated to a frequency range of 18–22 kHz. This device has demonstrated limited success in suppressing SCP-4897's hostile behavior and must remain operational at all times.
A remote feeding system shall dispense a nutrient-dense liquid supplement through sealed tubing thrice daily. The introduction of solid organic material is strictly prohibited due to SCP-4897's extreme feeding response and containment breaches observed during earlier incidents.

Description:
SCP-4897 is a humanoid entity standing approximately 2.5 meters tall and weighing 136 kilograms. The subject's epidermis is coated in a viscous, tar-like secretion (designated Substance-4897-A), which emits a strong odor and exhibits mild corrosive and hydrophobic properties. Chemical analysis suggests a composition containing petroleum derivatives and multiple anomalous enzymatic compounds.
SCP-4897's eyes lack iris, sclera, and pupil, instead presenting as uniformly white. Despite this, SCP-4897 displays full environmental awareness, believed to be facilitated via non-visual sensory methods, possibly including echolocation or extrasensory perception.
SCP-4897 exhibits extreme aggression toward all living organisms. Any such entities entering its proximity will be engaged, neutralized, and consumed entirely, leaving no biological remnants. The method by which SCP-4897 metabolizes organic matter remains under investigation, as no excretory processes have been observed.
The entity demonstrates advanced regenerative capabilities, including complete limb and organ regrowth within 9–17 minutes of catastrophic injury. No known method of permanent physical neutralization has proven effective.
