Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4953 is to be contained in a standard plastic gun case, inside a standard locked locker on Site 017. The key is to be held in the armory locker of MTF agent Lawrence's locker.
Description:SCP-4953 is a Mauser rifle model 98, it was found in the late gunsmith [REDACTED] house after his death in the year 2004, and rumors spread about a gun that always hit its target circulated in the town of [REDACTED] N.E. The rifle is weighed at 3.7 kilograms, and has no physical damage on the outside. When a person shoots SCP-4953, it will always hit the intended target, this is always the case, whether there is an obstacle or not. The guns inside cannot be seen, as the operator will not be able to bring himself to damage the gun, this is always the case, no matter the persons belief in the gun. When the rifle was deemed safe enough to be handled, MTF unit 50 (Eyes From Beyond) received the gun as a gift of gratitude from Site [REDACTED] Site overseer [REDACTED]
Experiment Log: SCP-4953 was placed into the hands of MTF agent Lawrence, he was then shown a picture of the target and was told to shoot it. When the bullet was fired, it went [REDACTED] meters before performing a "U-turn" where it then preceded to hit the bulls-eye mark [REDACTED] meters away.
Notes: Dr. Smith: "If we could find a way to recreate this gun, we could be looking at an army of perfectly aimed rifles at our doorsteps.
Dr. Bright: Please tell the site staff to stop shooting me, I've had to die [REDACTED] times this week, the censor will likely redact the number, but i don't know where they keep getting all the ammo?
Addendum:1 After a formal complaint from Dr. Bright we have decided to forbid any staff with a hatred of Bright from being within 5 meters of the gun, except when passing the armory.
