Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4962 is to be held in a 4x4 humanoid containment cell at Site-19 with no cameras or windows. At no time is SCP-4962 to be taken a picture of, video recorded, or directly viewed by anyone unless for testing authorized by the current Head Researcher of Site-19 with approval from the O5 Council. No SCPs are to be near SCP-4962 or its containment cell. Should any personnel have viewed SCP-4962 via footage, picture, or directly, they are to be terminated by any means necessary unless they hold Level 4 or above clearance level, in which they will be detained and quarantined. In the event of a containment breach, all non-essential personnel are to be escorted to a security bunker and use directional gear to contain SCP-4962 without viewing it at all.
Description: SCP-4962 is a humanoid figure standing at about 6`2 with most of its flesh within its torso missing, showing mostly its ribcage and inner organs. The subject seems to be genderless and abnormally black in color with extended fingernails, toenails, and no eyes. SCP-4962s nails are extremely durable and all testing has shown them to be impossible to break, along with every bone and organ within SCP-4962s body, deeming him indestructible. Arms and legs show massive deformation and look similar to a prehistoric creature bone structure. Current origins of SCP-4962 are unknown, nor of its age. The subject is sentient and highly intelligent, leaving it to be extremely dangerous. When SCP-4962 is viewed, all victims viewing SCP-4962 will undergo a stage of transformation, and they will begin to scream loudly acting as if in extreme pain. Bone structure of all victims will begin to change to fit SCP-4962 with the exception of being indestructible. after about a minute of this process, victims who will now be named SCP-4962-2 will begin to run towards the nearest sentient organism and proceed to ██████ the sentient organism, leaving only blood, bone, and eyes to remain. SCP-4962-2 will continue this process until they are terminated by any means. Testing has shown SCP-4962-2 instances to be vulnerable to pain and death as a normal human before transformation, however, show no sentience. SCP-4962 shows the same signs of aggression however simply kill humans rather than ██████ like SCP-4962-2 instances. Methods of killing are currently slicing of the neck or stomach, and will typically do this slowly unless in a hurry in a sadistic manner and may even slice the victims eyes out, or slowly cut their limbs open. It seems SCP-4962 is capable of choosing when its cognitohazard effect is in place in order to torture primarily humans and will ignore every other organism.
SCP-4962 was found in ██████, Arizona on ██/██/████ in a small cabin in the middle of the forest. The Foundation received reports of strange behavior, sounds, and effects from within the cabin from passing travelers. A team was sent in to investigate after multiple missing person reports were established from that area. SCP-4962 was found feeding on a corpse determined to be at least 7 days old of a young 23-year-old female named Alice Clarke who was reported missing on ██/██/████. Several other bodies were found inside and around the cabin, all exhibiting the same cause of death which is 6 inch deep cuts to the stomach, neck, and eyes. The first containment squad was found KIA with the exception of Commander Hunter, Lieutenant Slade, and Lieutenant Wilson who were SCP-4962-2 instances and were terminated and incinerated. The 2nd squad successfully contained SCP-4962 after receiving high possibilities of the SCP being a cognitohazard. 10 civilian bodies were located in total, and their deaths were disguised as a wildlife attack.
