Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-49985 MUST BE CONTAINED UNDER ALL CIRCUMSTANCES any and all access to the subject bust be by the advisory of senior staff. The device must be held within a space of 100x100 square meters and a minimum depth of 500 meters underground.
Furthermore it is suggested that the device itself uses a total of 5,500mW of powered laser light which would imply that the weapon itself is both automated and dangerous to both humans and anything it comes into contact to. All containment is within multiplied sheets of heavy grade steel an metal both weapon proof and industrial strength.
Anyone coming into contact must use industrial strength protection and clothing to avoid any harm from coming to them. It is unknown weather the machine itself targets humans or other animate objects but discretion is heavily advised.
Description:
SCP-49985 appears to be what looks like an industrial machine but has no physical attributes to imply that it has ever been used for such. Upon closer examination the subject has a large optical lens on the front with a light on top which would specify that it may be a camera or some kind of android like machine. No research has internally or externally been made due to security concerns until it was discovered in an abandoned government facility in [REDACTED] but it has also been found the lens implicated that it uses a heavy watt laser light that would shoot from the lens with a large laser like beam which has been found to be both deadly and dangerous.
Research has further found that the subject itself is not powered by humans nor any kind of sensory mechanisms but instead is powered by a very high powered artificial intelligence. It has been thought that this may of been some kind of defensive perimeter or tool developed by the government in order to defend and/or attack oncoming enemies within its perimeter. The last known range is about 1000 to 2000 yards upon contact where then the device will power on and use the laser/light to cause imperative damage.
The device however appears to be of 1960-70 design however it is unknown how this kind of technology was available to the origin country ███████. It has been thought to of been conceived and sold off by the ███████ government which was further debunked as the ███████ ███████ party had denied these claims.
Given the age and the time this appears too be a very advanced model for its own kind and stands at 6.5 feet tall with a bound weight of 600lb.
