SCP-XXXX.

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a large soundproof containment chamber, with a wall and observation window separating SCP-XXXX and the observation area. The floor surrounding SCP-XXXX is filled with dirt to keep SCP-XXXX alive paved with concrete to avoid the growth of more SCP-XXXX instances.

Description: SCP-XXXX was discovered in a secluded neighborhood in █████, Alaska after Foundation agents heard reports of mysterious figures in the trees. Multiple instances of SCP-XXXX were found, excavated, and transported to Site-19.

SCP-XXXX resembles a European ash tree (Fraxinus excelsior) in appearance, and function. In the upper area of SCP-XXXX is a group of vaguely humanoid figures constructed of branches and vines. Each figure is in a position as if they were gripping the branches nearest to them. At random intervals, the entities within SCP-XXXX will sing an unintelligible tune that affects humans in a 12m radius.

This tune has been described as being "relaxing" and "enticing", this tune will lure subjects to SCP-XXXX's location. If there is a barrier that is restricting access to SCP-XXXX subjects will attempt anything to get through the barrier. If none of the attempts are successful, the tune's anomalous effect will wear off, and the subject will not remember hearing the tune. If an affected subject reaches SCP-XXXX, they will proceed to climb upon the branches of SCP-XXXX and begin swinging on them. This will proceed for approximately 2 minutes, before the subject's skin and clothing will convert into the bark of SCP-XXXX.

After fully converted, the subject will resemble an entity from SCP-XXXX, and the tune will stop playing. Under direct observation, SCP-XXXX will remain silent and unmoving, surveillance footage shows that the entities will occasionally shiver in place, and occasionally make vocalizations that resemble moans.

Addendum XXXX-001: As of █/██/2020, a small root has been found growing out of the containment chamber floor of SCP-XXXX. The root was removed and found to be a premature instance of SCP-XXXX growing within the containment chamber. The containment chamber was searched for any more growing instances of SCP-XXXX where multiple seeds were found. The seeds are capable of growing out of any material (with the exception of organic) and grow rapidly.

The containment procedures of SCP-XXXX were updated to prevent the growth of more SCP-XXXX instances.
