Object Class: Safe Thaumiel
Foreword: The reason for the upgrade to Clearance Level 3 is because the Shadow has been reclassified to Thaumiel.
Special Containment Procedures: Due to its nature, it cannot be contained. The Shadow is allowed to free roam the site which it is located in (currently site-22)
However, the Shadow should only be viewed as a Safe class SCP to all personnel under Clearance Level 3. This is to protect the anonymity of the Thaumiel classification.
If it were to try to breach containment, procedure "On-XXXX" should be initiated. Procedure details; All persons within a 10 mile will be evacuated and administered class-c amnestics if anyone has come in contact with the Shadow. A team of 3 researchers, 1 physiologist and 2 security personnel must detain and persuade SCP-XXXX to re-enter the site and refrain it from escaping again. However, due to the entity's nature, this protocol wouldn't be carried out often, if at all.
Up to Date Description:
SCP-XXXX is a Thaumiel class SCP that is capable of materializing anywhere across the universe, although it is noted that it is very difficult and energy consuming to escape Earth and other gravitational field. This suggest that the entity has to travel through space-time in order to materialize somewhere else. SCP-XXXX can only materialize in
moderately dark shadows. If the entity steps into a direct light source, then it will appear as foggy figure. It is not affected by light. SCP-XXXX has no understanding on how he got to his current state. SCP-XXXX is completely harmless and is considered sapient, with an average IQ of 106. It is extremely appreciative of interview and requests. SCP-XXXX has also seemed to possess a photographic memory and can recall memories with a more precise description of an average adult. It has two forms it can take on, the foggy figure, which is the natural formation, or a matte-black figure which requires more mental energy to arrange into. It is described as having 3 knifes prod it's body, one in the neck, one in the scalp, and one in the torso. The reason for this is currently unexplained.
SCP-XXXX doesn't exactly know what it is. According to an interview, "I [SCP-XXXX] woke up in a mental health therapists office after being unconscious for around 30 minutes. It looked down at my hands and I couldn't see myself. I later found out it was a fight or flight response. I think I was separated from something???" … "I'm unsure of what happened before"
After incident XXXX-N2, SCP-XXXX has been reclassified to Thaumiel. This has prompted the file to only be accessed by personnel with Clearance Level 4. The XXXX-N2 and the reason for is mentioned in Addendum XXXX-Nature-2

Dr. : The first question is how did you get into your current state?
SCP-XXXX: The first thing i felt is being ejected at very fast speeds, like being thrown out of an airlock then thud. I woke up in a mental health therapists office after being unconscious for around 30 minutes. It looked down at my hands and I couldn't see myself. I later found out it was a fight or flight response. I think I was separated from something??? It felt thick and pasty. Like a web of oozing slime. I'm unsure of what happened before that. It was like being born and kicked out. I was living rent free, after all
Dr. : Mhmm. And how does make you feel
SCP-XXXX: A bit lost, really. Just the immense g-force and and crash landing on the hard surfacing and being knocked out. It wasn't well appreciated.

Closing Statement: SCP-XXXX begun as a spontaneous anomaly
Addendum XXXX-Origin-2
After checking security footage after a containment breach that wasn't as severe as expected, it has been revealed that SCP-XXXX can soothe creatures with murderous intent, to an extent. This event is designated as XXXX-N2. SCP-XXXX has confessed that it can only soothe one person/anomaly at a time. They do this by hugging the recipient for 10 seconds which brings inner peace to anyone. It takes 5 minutes for SCP-XXXX to regenerate his ability. The effect wears off within 72 hours and remains at 10% effectiveness for 1 month. The ability does not stack. The staff at the site use SCP-XXXX often to relief their mental health issues.
Due to being able to suppress containment breaches, the SCP is currently integrated into Procedure Off-XXXX, more information about this is available in addendum XXXX-Procedure Off-XXXX
Addendum XXXX-Procedure Off-XXXX
During an off-site containment breach, SCP-XXXX should be immediately notified. Then Procedure Off-XXXX should be activated. Procedure details: SCP-XXXX is notified about the breach. They then have to materialise in that site and soothe as many escaped SCPs as they can. Keter class SCPS are the top priority then euclid following.
