Special containment procedures:
Scp 5684 is to be contained within a slowly rotating concrete cell, lined with lead. Under no circumstances are cameras of any kind permitted to be used. At 9:00 pm, every other night a cleanup crew is required to enter the cell. During the clean up session, the entity will be contained within a cell identical to the original one. Foundation personnel are to be placed inside a lab aproximately 12 meters away from the containment cell of the entity. The lab will come equipped with emergency lights that will temporarily blind the personnel working. The personnel will monitor the entity's temperature using thermal cameras at all times. If the entity's temperature is exceeding 70 degrees celsius, then cool water will be administered to the specimin. In a case where the water not being administered, all personnel are to blind themselves with the light and activate emergency lockdown. If its temperature drops below -10 degrees celsius, then all personnel are to evacuate the lab immediately.
Interviews with the entitiy will only be conducted by D-class personnel since direct communication with the entity may result in mental health conditions including: anxiety, paranoia ect. Subjects interviewing the entity for a prolonged time may start to develop itchy dry skin and boils. If this happens, the interview will be cut short and the subject is to be taken to a medical bay.
In the instance that the entity breaches containment, MTF personnel armed with MK 27 Tesla's will be sent to the entity's location and they will attempt to re-contain it.
Description:
SCP 5684 is a creature that appears to possess humanoid features such as a human torso, human arms and a vaguely human head, although more oval in shape. The being stands at approximately 8.9 ft. It's skin can change colour and texture to hide like a chameleon, the colours so far observed have been: Matte black; pale white; mud green; bright red and transparent. During the entity's hibernation, its face is concealed with a layer of thick cartilage, the same colour as its current skin tone. However, when active, the being's face is revealed. As humans, we cannot comprehend the entity's face. If its face is seen by another human, then they will either die from a seizure, or remain frozen in time, as if they were a statue. The reason for the different deaths is unknown.
The entity seems to produce a substance with texture similar to that of syrup. The substance contains traces of o type human blood, the metal mercury and a strange unknown material. The entity shows no means of producing the substance, but it materialises none the less. It seems to be some form of ectoplasm.
The exposed face of the being is a source of blinding light, that emits ultraviolet waves, visible light and x-rays. If a human is caught in the light, then there will be an accelerated rate of tumor growths and cell mutations, which can kill the subject in up to 10 minutes after exposure. As well as being a source of light, the face is also a source of heat/cold. The entity's body has no pulse or bloodflow, and emits no heat.
The entity possesses 12 appendages: 2 human arms; 2 bigger and longer arms that possess 4 fingers; 6 legs with suction cup like feet; 1 head and 1 long appendage located where the entity's stomach would be, and this appendage wraps around its lower torso. It is unknown as to what it is or to what it's for. The entity is capable of advanced human speech and is able to speak spanish, english and Portuguese.
The being has serveral several anomalous properties. The first one is that the entity can phase through solid objects, which is why the entity's cell must remain at a steady rotation speed. The being can also manipulate objects to a degree, like telekinesis. The entity can also read the thoughts and speak to personnel near to it. If the human that the entity is speaking to is near to 5684 then they may develop mental health conditions, as well as boils and skin conditions. The reason for this is unknown. In extreme cases of this, subjects have been known to become puppets for the entity, as 5684 has managed to enter and manipulate the subject's brain.
One thing to note is that as of now, there is no visible way to terminate 5684, and physical objects seem to pass through it. The only thing that may stun the entity is mass exposure to an electrical charge.
Discovery log:
The entity was discovered in a mountainside near to the Chilean town of [REDACTED]. Special forces personnel were sent to investigate the town after high levels of radiation and deaths were reported from the town. Many young children and seniors were killed by the radiation exposure, and many people were found dead, not from cancer, but just dead. Tests indicate mass psychological trauma and damage to the nervous system. The eyes of those found in this state were no longer in the sockets, and it is presumed that they had melted. Some people however, were found to be completely paralyzed/frozen in time. Tests show that 97% of the subject's brains had sustained mass damage and no longer functioned. It took the foundation personnel 2 nights before they had discovered the entity. As they were investigating the nearby mountainside, Special forces officer [REDACTED] reported that he had seen a floating boulder close to the mouth of a cave. The cave was lined with the ectoplasm substance and even through the haz mat suits, the smell was reported to be of a metallic blood smell. The entity was found in a state of hibernation when the special forces found it. 5684 was then brought back to the facility [REACTED] where it woke from its hibernation. 12 foundation personnel were either killed or frozen in time, and 7 others lived, but had developed tumors and mental health problems. They were suspended from the foundation for 2 years. After this, the entity was moved to armed area 14 where it would be kept under close surveillance by the foundation.
