SCP-5755 Containment Breach #1 - SCP TALES

It was a normal day on the site. Nobody had thought of what was going to happen.
All procedures were followed. Five Class D personnel were chosen to stare at the SCP, plus two supervisors.
The voice recording systems have failed, so the supervisors couldn't hear the conversation between the Class D personnel.

Suddenly, all five Class D personnel have looked away from the SCP. The Supervisors now had to stare at it. No matter what. Stare, and call help. Then, one of the Class D's grabbed something from beneath his chair: A flash grenade. The Supervisors already knew that was it. A containment breach. Will they be terminated? How could they let that happen?

Then they came back to their senses. They looked away, so the grenade can't blind them. One of them pressed the huge red button.

Red. Red lights.

Sirens. Breach. Innocent lives. Death.

The other supervisor ran out of the room. He forgot to take his weapon. Luckily, the Class D personnel, blinded, couldn't stop him. The acid started pouring from the walls. He reached out. He grabbed the Vial. And he thought.

This is for the better. For the foundation. He has to die to save the others. He came here to secure. He came here, to contain. He came here to protect. To protect humanity. He had to pour it on himself. He had to stop the breach.

And he caught the last glimpse of existence. Took the last breath. His whole life had flashed in front of him. And then, he poured it on himself. He didn't feel anything.

The other supervisor was just observing. He wasn't able to spit out a single word as he was watching his partner, his best friend, die on the spot.

The acid stopped pouring and disappeared. In total, 54 people have died during the breach. And the name: Tom Nowakowski, the name of the hero who stopped the breach, can be seen on the vial to this day.
