(██/██/2020) The SCP Foundation is intensively monitoring the speread of SCP-5859 in close partnership with WHO (World Health Organisation). If any increase of affected people is noted in an area, the government of the specific area must be contacted to issue a strict quarantine for twelve [12] days and if symptoms appear, the subject must isolate for fourteen [14] further days.
Description: SCP-5859 is an anomalously contagious virus belonging to the string of coronaviruses classified as SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome), with the specific name of SCP-5859 being C████-19. Its origin is dated back to December of 2019 in Wuhan, China. The way the virus was made is as of yet unknown, however, it is thought to come from markets which were handling contaminated raw meat in the city.
SCP-5859 is considered a Class-V biological risk due to the anomalously high contagiousness.
