Special Containment Procedures: SCP- 5999 must be kept in SCP- 8760 set at mode A-184. Testing will be denied unless under O5 Command. Object is contained at site 56 after [DATA EXPUNGED] check addendum 5999-3.
Description: SCP- 5999 in appearance is a melted skull along with a pair of skeletal hands making contact with skull as if trying go cover the perfectly fixed face of agony. Object has a composition of gold but has a surface texture to that of flesh. Under temperatures as -10 degrees Fahrenheit, SCP- 5999 will remain stable and and will remain as an unique antique in the container but when in temperatures over required temperatures object will spontaneously combust which after it will evaporate. After 8 minutes and 4 seconds any biological substance in a hundred and eighty mile spherical area will begin to melt as if it was gold melting becoming instance SCP- 5999-1. Movements of instances can spread radius to any size.This is called the "Meltdown Phase" which will last until instamce suddenly makes contact with ice or is put constantly under the temperature of -10 degrees. After meltdown phase finishes instances will change to a composition of gold and will shatter at all parts except head and hands leaving more of SCP- 5999.
Addendum 5999-1: Recovery Log
Victim recovered after EVENT 5999-A. SCP- 5999 was found in MELTDOWN PHASE in [DATA EXPUNGED] on April 4th, 2017 at ███████, ████████ Theater. Subject was found still conscious for 7 minutes explaining what happened before.

<End Log> - The Mobile Task Forces Nine Tailed Fox team found SCP 5999-1 under a spotlight with all audience completely melted into liquid masses of biological substance. One instance put object in a bucket of ice which seemed to retard the effect occurring for 30 hours. SCP- 5999 was placed in SCP- 8760 in duration of retardant effect and brought back to the foundation for research. 60 of the agents became instances and were terminated after retardant effect ceased.
