SCP-5XXX -Clock it IN Take Three

It's a rush across the churches

Have I finally been gifted Revelations?

But no… my body bucks to the force.

My failure

Like an ant in the tsunami's wrath, I am washed to the shores of Hell again.

Dead body back at the beaches.

But the worms animate me….

Loop Period: 10 minutes

Anomaly Case #: SCP-5XXX

SCP-5XXX occurences will cease after ten seconds.

A notice regarding this SCP has been issued. The causes and nature of this SCP is still unknown.

Not for me.

Not at all.

Not since I found him dead, buried in the oceans of a pleasant beach.

Pleasant… that was how it was supposed to be… just a nice little swim in my chosen little holiday place. And then, on that pleasant day, in the waters, I saw his buried Avian body, saw the pinkish purple energy his compass clock device exuded. And suddenly, every other pleasant day past and future, were shattered like glass to an earthquake.

Is it really a pleasant day, though, when one has been living it many many years in the same way? Maybe if one did not know it yet, but then….

//Oh no…. I feel the waves coming… maybe this time, I will make it

I steel myself: a warrior I envision charging through the enemy bullets. A roar of time fills my mind, as I seek inside for that ocean-found energy….//

Loop Period: Five minute

Second Chronullment Warning: A denotation for a specific chronul hazard involving the sudden circular nature, whether natural or imposed, of a certain subsection of time

This power came with old memories.

….

….

I've been in a time loop before.

Short one, Lakewood Army Theatre: one minute, according to Mantel.

What can one do in one minute?

Talk… write.. get up and attempt to run to the exit… as if the cage of time is one easily traversed through… so many people tried… there was a great lot of chaos… I could have been content to sit on my chair and wait, but all the commotion meant I had to leave as well…. there were fights, verbal and physical, some people tried to get some order but it would be an arduous task…

Hmmm… it looks like one can fit a lot of chaos in one minute after all… one minute, kept on a repeat immortal for one and a half hour…

But at least, for that loop, there was a set time duration of the loop; one I could easily ascertain, one I could easily adapt to (at my best, of course)

This time loop though is one that distinguishes itself from the unpredictable moment of its repeati….

Time Loop: 1 minute

….

….

I wonder how it would have been like if I was swimming when it happened, the time loop

(It still wouldn't change much)

To be endlessly thrown back into the waters, over and over again.

(Ten seconds, one minute, one day, fifty years)

I wonder how my mind would react, to suddenly be taken from land and clear air to a wet and choking place, where death surrounds and grabs you if you do not leave the place enough times…

(Pits or paradise, young morning or old nights…)

I wonder how it would be like if the time loop happened while I was still trying to leave to the air-filled surface

(you'll still be back at where you started)

…..

…..

…..

…..

…..

It looks like I can leave for this one.

I walk.

There is that lady: Haley Bopp and the Star Fallen shirt she wears. She's on her phone, talking who knows what, as a pigeon leaves its place at her approach (it always flies left, always moves on top of a Subway Ice Cream sign.)

And there's a boy with the Owl House helmet skateboarding down the pavement. He sees a cat in the middle, and always turns to the right, narrowly hitting the outside gardens of a pizza place.

And there's a man looking for his phone. I know its his phone because a girl always runs up to him holding one up to him, and he accepts it, thanking the girl.

I have seen these scenes who knows how many times. And now that I know that, they have become mechanized in my mind.

Predictable.

Well, not exactly predictable: I have talked with those people before. And what they say is always different, even if only by slight degrees.

But…. maybe it is just the way that I am talking about: a slight difference in tone, slight edginess in my pose… I don't know really.

For all I know, I'm but the only aware being here: the Player is thrown into a video game they were playing. And just like a video game, every time it ends…

Wait….

//I feel it: the approach of a great wave; of a new reset in time.

Time to do it this time: time to resist the wave.

[Waves of past, many times before….

The Chronuller readies himself, drawing upon years of training]

Drowned, but still standing
[The waves of time is an experience he has long been familiar with]
[An enemy, but one he has fought long enough to conquer]

Assault of time, but I resist…

resist…

resist….

[PAIN SOMETHING LASHES AT ME]]

[[I FEEL MY FUTURE BEING RIPPED APART FROM MY PRESENT FROM MY PAST FROM MY EXISTENCE FROM ME….]

No no no no….

[PAIN…]

No…

[PAIN]

This is not my pain; I will prevail against this wave!

….

….//

Time Loop: 4 minutes

…..

Pain… I'm a lot of pain

But… I'm here

At where I stood

Not at where I stood at the start of every loop

…. I did it

I finally conquered the wave.

I rise up, and wince in pain a bit from my legs: not exactly anything much bad, really, like accidentally getting hit by a speeding taxi that was not fast enough to kill you…
