Description: SCP-5XXX is a ritual that creates a powerful societal cognitohazard that causes those that interact with the performer of SCP-5XXX to possess more wealth and power than they usually do. If affected individuals are questioned on the source of wealth of SCP-5XXX performers, they will bring up non-existent investments or inheritances or any other factors that could account for a sudden increase of wealth in performers of SCP-5XXX instances. Only high level amounts of meme-resistance can break through the cognitohazard.
SCP-5XXX can only be accomplished through the use of a carved knife bearing imagery relating to serpents (designated SCP-5XXX-1) and a small bottle jar (designated SCP-5XXX-2). SCP-5XXX requires the shedding of blood through the use of SCP-5XXX-1 into SCP-5XXX-2, though the blood does not necessarily have to be one's own.

SCP-5XXX was discovered in the aftermath of a housefire at the mansion of Mr. Ricard Welssenton in Rose Rise, Texas, a well-known philanthropist and political donor. It was recovered in a black box containing both instructions to use SCP-5XXX plus SCP-5XXX-1 and SCP-5XXX-2 (both of which still bore blood, indicating recent use). Mr. Ricard Welssenton perished in the fire.
A search in the remains of the house uncovered the skeletal remains of 35 person hidden in the estate (corresponding with a recent spate of disappearances in Rose Rise).
At his death, Mr. Ricard Welssenton was estimated to be worth $5.6 billion.
