Special Containment Procedures: SCP-8805 requires no containment procedures whatsoever, as it is a sign.
Description: SCP-8805 is a sign. If you look at the sign there will be a message that you will have to do in the next 24 hours. If you don’t do it then [REDACTED]. It will have a ██/35 chance of being safe. The only safe thing that it says however is “Have a nice day!” All other messages appear to be dangerous. The message changes every 1 minute and is a different message to everyone who sees it.
Discovery: Found at a restaurant parking lot. The owner of the place claims that around 55 people came in one week asking if they could take the sign to their home. The owner also claims that 10 people tried to take the sign. However they all died once they left the parking lot.
Test 8805-1 Notes:
12:42 PM: D-Class looked at sign. According to him, the message was to eat soup at 120 degrees.
NEXT DAY
12:42 PM: D-Class failed to complete task.
10:55 PM: D-Class woke up after sleep. Never went back to sleep all night. Instead was laughing like a crazy person
11:23 AM: D-Class found in bathroom shouting “he’s coming!” 27 times.
01:31 PM: During Lunch, D-Class was found under a table with a fork stabbed in his arm.
04:07 PM: Dr. ██████ has confirmed that D-Class is insane. D-Class after hearing this just laughed and said “praise the sign. It knows all.” Truth is, we never will.
07:00 PM: We found D-Class in his cell saying to himself “The sign says die. We must follow the sign.” He repeated that 57 times until he said “Die.” He then just collapsed onto the floor and died. We dragged body to the waste bin outside Site ██ .
Extra Notes:
- According to ███████, The thing you see before yourself in a dark room surrounded by signs. All signs have the same message on it: DIE (Just a quick sidenote, Rip ███████).
- If the sign says “Have a nice Day” and you don’t, the sign will force you to have a nice day…somehow
- If the viewer is blind and they look at the sign, The person will be able to see in the 24 hours after viewing. If you complete the task on time you will be able to see forever. If you fail to complete the task, you will go back to being blind. (NOTE: If the message is “Have a nice day!”, you will see forever, task completed or not.)
