Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept inside a 7 meter tall room storage unit in [REDACTED]. SCP-XXXX is covered up with a black cloth at all times, suspended from the ceiling. Any investigation of SCP-XXXX under the cloth is prohibited by anyone above Class D and enterance of SCP-XXXX’s containment unit is to be supervised by at least a Level 1 guard. Testing of SCP-XXXX is to only use Class D and to be supervised by a level 2 Researcher with a background in memetics and one Level 1 guard. Anyone found with symptoms of SCP-XXXX is to be contained for further evaluation.
Description: SCP-XXXX is an anomalous preserved dinosaur statue of the Triassic Period standing 6 meters tall. The skeleton of SCP-XXXX rests on a plaque holding the dinosaur still with wire that reads,”Dyranasanatanabanasauras, 199 Million Years”. The dinosaur matches no records of previous discovered dinosaurs found and the name relates to no found dinosaur, but appears to be related to Tyrannosaurus Rex based on it’s similar bone shape and skeleton structure. SCP-XXXX’s skeleton is complete, except for one bone missing from the structure.
The effects of SCP-XXXX only appear when someone confirms which bone on SCP-XXXX is missing. When someone learns which bone is missing by touch, sight, or hearing of the location and trusts their sense’s/sources, they are affected. Affected individuals have no physical change, but can be characterized by an newfound interest in archeology in the early stages, and shaking, insomnia, and slurred speech in the late stages of the affects. Affected Individuals will try to find a match for SCP-XXXX’s missing bone by stealing other fossilized dinosaur bones, digging up graves of animals and even killing and stealing bones from human corpses. The affected wil test each bone to SCP-XXXX’s missing bone until the affected is intercepted. Affected can be treated with Amnesics effectively, with little to no ill effects, and due to the need for trust about SCP-XXXX’s missing bone, SCP-XXXX has little risk of affecting civilians citywide.
SCP-XXXX was found in a raid of an art gallery of “AWCY?”(Are We Cool Yet?) as the main display of the gallery, sitting in the middle of the gallery. Little to no information was breached due to the secrecy of the gallery displays, and the display seems to have only affected members of “AWCY?”. Containment of SCP-XXXX went without any interference.
