Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Ordo Princeps1

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is contained through the psychology and mindset of humankind, with Foundation discretion. There is no physical containment for SCP-XXXX. Two protocols will remain in effect of each other in order to secure Foundation information:

PROTOCOL "ALPHA" The Foundation is to consistently work with the staff of designated site(s) with information on any new or older reported/confirmed abnormality. Auditors contained within any of the designated sites are required to fabricate alternate information (notes, audits, excess information, literature, books, etc…) of abnormalities assigned to their workspace, and will be forwarded back to Central Command for direct approval of release once any written work has been completed. Any piece of information regarding an SCP may also be uploaded using other content, such as ███████, ███████, or any other pre-approved form of publishing2. Auditors are required to release content, general information, or any recreation(s) to the primary site3. Any unauthorized release of information that was not approved by any member of Command (or alpha-destination command) is to be immediately administered Class-A amnestics, and reassigned as a D-Class Personnel to any containment site.
PROTOCOL "BETA" Content regarding any contained abnormality by the Foundation or any other known group of interest is required to be approved by RAISA and the O5 Council before being distributed to any one of the Alpha-Destinations's editors. Content made by "outside contributors"4. Editors are required to frequently publish new content, and actively provide advice for aspiring individuals on SCP-XXXX and its outside contributors. Editors are permitted to publish content that does not correlate to any classified information on abnormalities not already posted within SCP-XXXX in order to further spread the disbelief of the Foundation's existence. Any instance of people claiming to have witnessed any of the abnormalities listed on SCP-XXXX (or any Foundation database outside of SCP-XXXX) are to be ignored5. In the instance that a widespread belief of the Foundation's existence occurs, SCP-XXXX will initiate a complete memetic wipe, causing any reader (or past readers) to be affected, resulting in a memory wipe of any past information that a person knew about any recent instance of Foundation existence.

Because there is no physical containment for SCP-XXXX, in the event of a wide-scale information breach, a memory-wiping memetic cognitohazard is to be uploaded into SCP-XXXX's main page, and will remain saved for three (3) days until its regional Site Administration provides Foundation Command with an "all-clear."

Upon individuals visiting SCP-XXXX during this lockdown, SCP-XXXX will remain IP-blocked after the memetic cognitohazard takes effect, followed by a computer wipe and bruteforced-system reboot, wiping any potential information saved into a user's computer drive or external information hardware. Users who visited SCP-XXXX seven (7) days before the information breach will be affected by a memetic infohazard, regardless if they revisited SCP-XXXX during the lockdown or not, and will also completely wipe any internal/external information that a user may have had.

As an additional measure, the following Mobile Task Forces will be deployed to areas confirmed with high amounts of Foundation infohazardous activity:

  • MTF Gamma-5 ("Red Herrings")
  • MTF Gamma-1 ("See No Boundaries")

The following contingency operation will then be initiated:
