Man made trail leading to SCP-XXXX.
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is contained at its site of discovery within the “Morton’s Appalachian Wildlife Reserve.” SCP-XXXX is to be monitored by Foundation personnel disguised as Park Rangers who patrol the surrounding area to halt any trespassers. SCP-XXXX is covered by a one-meter thick concrete shell. In the event that SCP-XXXX breaches containment, the shell must be sealed by personnel who have passed faith screenings. Anyone found on site appearing infected by SCP-XXXX’s info hazardous effects is to be administered class C amnestics at the nearby research facility.
Any personnel assigned to SCP-XXXX’s containment are to be screened for any religious convictions or any affiliation with organized spiritual groups before any material about SCP-XXXX is released. Visual evidence gathered of SCP-XXXX or any substances deriving from SCP-XXXX is to be kept inaccessible by any Foundation members that have failed the faith screening.
Contents of SCP-XXXX removed for study are to be kept in airtight containers double layered with standard soundproofing foam to prevent noise of SCP-XXXX from escaping. Any discussion of SCP-XXXX by personnel assigned of SCP-XXXX outside of its present research site is forbidden.
Description: SCP-XXXX is an infohazardous anomaly surrounding a fountain attached to the side of Guyot Mountain whose contents draw in anyone holding religious convictions for the purpose of trans-mutating internal organs and systems to match the liquid found inside the fountain. The black liquid that stems from the spigot of SCP-XXXX is currently unidentified.
SCP-XXXX's Info-hazard will only trigger within individuals bearing affiliation with spiritual organizations. Spiritual individuals that do not subscribe to any organized religious group are unaffected by the infohazard.
Individuals affected by the infohazard are assaulted by sudden feelings of severe dehydration and fugue states with symptoms like those suffering sleep deprivation. subjects express, through distressed vocalizations, experiences with vivid auditory hallucinations while in this state. Hallucinations are always figures in the subjects chosen faith attempting to persuade subjects to seek out SCP-XXXX and drink from it.
Class C amnestics have proven effective enough to return anyone effected by the info hazard to return to the state previous to their knowledge of SCP-XXXX.

Subject collapses onto the fountain and muscular twitching and convulsions follow. Via the orifices exposed to SCP-XXXX the liquid begins to transmutate all internal organic matter Attempting to remove a subject at this point will result in the liquid’s viscosity increasing to a consistency like tar making it impossible to remove the subject.
Legs of a subject affected by SCP-XXXX
By way of intravenous distribution Subject’s organs and muscles become saturated with anomalous black liquid. subjects internal tissues will slowly begin to change into the same liquid within the fountain. The skin of the subject begins to turn a pale yellow and quickly dries into a hide akin to leather to keep all liquid contained within the subjects body.
Once all organic matter has been transmuted into the fountains anomalous liquid, the liquid will drain from the subjects orifices and return to the fountain. The skin of the subject is left on the fountains wall. So far no testing has resulted in the consumption of a subject's skin after being anomalously converted.
SCP-XXXX was first discovered after all members of the ██████ Church of Holy Sacrament disappeared during a community hike in the wildlife reserve in 19██. During initial containment of SCP-XXXX, Field Agent Valdez succumbed to the anomalous effects of SCP-XXXX and was forcibly restrained by Agent Samson. Directly following this, Agent Samson discovered SCP-XXXX and called in MTF Epsilon-6 "Village Idiots" to secure the reserve.
Addendum: The following information was gathered from the excerpts are from a journal recovered from the site upon discovery of SCP-XXXX. An independent research party set out on an expedition in late 1876 with vague intentions. Through out this journey numerous anomalous occurrences are recorded unknowingly by the journal's author. The remains or whereabouts of the men detailed in the journal have yet to be found. Research into the journal's owners revealed records of a confederate solider by the name of Sylvester Monroe. A warrant for Sylvester Monroe's arrest and delivery to the debtors prison of Maryland was placed a week before the start of the journal's entries.
Addendum B: After extensive testing with small explosives along the base and caves of Guyot mountain researchers were able to ascertain where the fountains liquid stems from. Through mapping out of seismic waves, they discovered a hollowed-out chamber in the center of the mountain approximately 1,500 meters tall and a diameter of 600 meters. Seismic imagery within this chamber has outlined a vaguely humanoid shape around 900 meters in total length. The figure is curled into the fetal position and is partially submerged in the anomalous liquid that pours from an open wound in the humanoid’s abdomen. Despite the chamber being empty save for the giant humanoid and liquid the mountain has not collapsed in on itself. Further research has been requested by the field team, however further mining to reach the chamber has been denied by the site administrator as further mining may cause a breach in containment.
