Two opened instances of SCP-3248.
Item #: SCP-3284
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: All instances of SCP-3284 outside of containment are to be collected and destroyed upon sight within 24 hours. Original instance of SCP-3284 is to be contained in an 10m x 10m x 10m airtight cell. Cell is to be emptied of all instances of SCP-3284 every month1. In the scenario of a containment breach, instances of SCP-3284 are to be ignored until all other SCPs are contained, upon which security personnel and janitorial staff proceed to remove all uncontained instances.
Description: SCP-3284 is an anomalous container of ███████ sardines composed of an unknown, sleek metal. Upon opening the container, an average of 102 sardines will be present inside. Upon closing the lid, the metal will proceed to reseal and revert to a state as if it had never been opened. When opened again, the container will have a different amount of sardines inside. However, when the sardines inside are consumed, the consumer (now designated SCP-3284-1) will gain the anomalous effect of materializing sardines in it's vicinity, approximately 8m on every angle. The frequency of the sardines averages at one identical container every 3.6 hours. If left uneaten for more than 1 week, SCP-3284 will automatically materialize an exact copy of itself in the stomach of the nearest living entity, thus designating them SCP-3284-1, and the SCP-3284-1 process will take place. However, if the uneaten instance of SCP-3284 is materialized inside a living entity, the metal container will also be found in the new instance.
Recovery: SCP-3284 was recovered from a fishing shop in an unnamed town near Site-███. Local citizens reported "a strange feeling coming from that shop" to doctors after several patients had experienced stomach cramps due to the anomalous effects of SCP-3284. When investigated by Site-███ personnel, SCP-3284 was discovered and contained without issue. Citizens affected by SCP-3284 were properly treated and amnestics applied. No further incidents.
