Special Containment Procedure: Specimens of SCP-XXXX are contained in a containment chamber of 8m(L) X 6m(W) X 5m(H). Specimens of SCP-XXXX are periodically supplied with biological matter for feeding purposes. The containment chamber is located in Site-██. The containment cell is made of tungsten reinforced polymer concrete lined with a fluoropolymer composite to prevent biological corrosion of the layers of the containment cell. Guards are posted outside the containment cell, denying access to all site workers and personnel without direct level 4 authorization. CCTV cameras are installed inside the chamber to observe the behaviour of SCP-XXXX.
Description: SCP-XXXX is classified as a nematode(roundworm) species. It can reach upto 5-6 meters in length and 10 cm in diameter. Specimens of SCP-XXXX have been spotted inside tight and closed areas such as cupboards, shoe boxes, trollies, burrowed holes inside the ground etc. It exhibits a strong predatory behaviour towards human ocular tissue.
Specimens of SCP-XXXX have uncountable number of sharp teeth. Normally it remains in a dormant state. But when it spots a human near it, it gets out of the closed area and lunges on the person's optic region and hooks it tightly with its sharp teeth. Then it secretes an unknown sticky and acidic substance which slowly but eventually melts the optic region of the person. After finishing off both the eyes, it releases its grip from the optic part and returns back from where it came from. Victims have complained about unbearable pain during the ingestion process process.
During the process of ingestion, it also releases eggs inside the victim's holed optic region which hatch after 13 days. The victim remains unaware of the eggs or the larvae but after 25-30 days, the victim's holed optic region becomes uncontrollably itchy. After 90 days of feeding inside the brain of the victim, the worms now come out from the victim's holed optic region. And eventually the victim dies.
Addendum XXXX-1: In the state of ████, India, incidents says that specimens of SCP-XXXX started attacking people by suddenly appearing from the holes of the ground.
Addendum XXXX-1: Recently 3 children are found lying on the ground screaming in pain. It seemed as if someone melted their eye sockets. And beside them, a hole on the ground was observed. On digging it, a specimen of SCP-XXXX was found in dormant condition.
