Concept of SCP-XXXX - ihateinternet.exe

In a nutshell: "I hate the internet because it causes problems, so I'm going to fix it by causing problems!"

There was a man who was friends with the person who created SCP-079. The man, Edward Adrien, has a bad background. He was arrested twice for driving without a license and on the internet he is known for:

  • Talking shit at people involved in his internet projects (I.e Comic dubs, fanfic narrating, artwork, etc) for leaving, weather its due to lack of interest or health reasons.
  • Getting into arguments over misunderstandings or being wrong
  • Beratted an artist who he commissioned for taking "too long" to complete his art
  • Made a gofundme scam where his "son" was dying from brain cancer so he could use the money to pay his College.

In short, edwardmanbad. Users began making videos and posts about his actions, urging people to stay away from him. This made Adrien more upset to the point he leaves the internet and at some point, decides to use the notes and knowledge from his friend, the creator of SCP-079, to create a virus to destroy the internet not just because of the hate he's received but also because he thought about all the other problems the internet has: Pedophilia, CP, sexual harassment, gaslighting, internet bullying, hacking, humiliation, art theft, etc He sees the internet is the "foundation" of all the bad shit you see on the internet (Especially IRL) and believes that if it was destroyed, then it would be much harder to do the list of things above since you have less options and accessibility. Even people didn't like his solution, he doesn't care cuz its already activated. The virus is designed to be more contagious and resistant to any attempts of stopping it every 1 hour.

As the virus ravages the internet, the Foundation finds Adrien (How, dunno yet. Could use some help with this one) interrogates him, promising they will Adrien go (Which is a lie) and Adrien tells him the things above. They then ask him how to stop it and Adrien laughs at them, saying they can't because he designed it to be more resistant every 1 hour. At this point, its almost indestructible. Almost.

The containment procedures are until more appropriate measures have been created, containment is to focus on monitoring its activity using a Web-Crawler, having disinformation campaigns and sabotaging/discouraging civilians from investigating the SCP to prevent them from learning its an anomaly. They then tell them to see an addendum for proposals to stop it.

They start by creating anti-virus software (Failed), then asks groups of interest (Somewhat worked since they received some help but hasn't stopped the scp yet), then try to get help from highly trained IT security and one of the seven individuals who holds the keys to internet security (Which is narrowly approved because getting outsourced help is something the Foundation almost never does and they do try to help but I dunno how to expand on it or how they help the Foundation), then a Web-Crawler to destroy the virus (Failed) and in the end, with approval from the Containment Commitee and the seven individuals: Destroy the internet and replace with the back up World-Wide in SCP-2000 as the virus fucked the internet up so badly its unusable.

"Okay Rose, they stopped the SCP but how do they fix the issue that billions of people know the SCP existed?"

Activate the Ennui Protocol, then put the file into the Ennui Archives and reclassified access from LEVEL 1 to LEVEL 5 or personal with Ennui-Class clearance.

The article then ends with one of the researchers who's viewing the file receiving an email from someone, saying they have unconfirmed reports of civilians still remembering the virus existed. However, no action is necessary, at least for now as evidence that the virus existed are almost non existent.

There maybe other things that needs fixing/changing, so feel free to provide feedback.
