Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in an enclosed cell with an attached outdoor area. An electronically controlled door is to be utilized by staff to allow SCP-XXXX to void itself, but is to be locked at all other times. two days before and after a full moon, SCP-XXXX is not allowed to the outside portion of the containment cell, but is allowed free roam under observation at all other times. Staff are not to engage SCP-XXXX except during designated feeding times, 0600 and 1800 hours daily.

Despite it's appearance and playful demeanor, no communication is to be attempted with SCP-XXXX. Staff found breaching this protocol will be relocated immediately. As of ██/██/2020, SCP-XXXX is not to be engaged at all.

During an SCP-XXXX event, the observation walls are to be sealed, and no contact is allowed with SCP-XXXX for a minimum of two days after the start of the event. More details for this procedure can be found in addendum.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a malamute husky, somewhere between 2-4 years old and weighing approximately 82 lbs, of unknown origin. Upon discovery, SCP-XXXX was found to be wearing a collar with the name 'Jack' engraved on it, and many staff have nicknamed SCP-XXXX "Jack". SCP-XXXX is docile, acting behaviorally similar to a non-anomalous canine of the same species. No genitalia or reproductive systems have been found, and it seems impossible to discern if SCP-XXXX is a male or female.

SCP-XXXX's first anomalous quality seems to be cognitive in nature. Subjects exposed to SCP-XXXX will feel an incredible sense of calm, and will often desire to pet, play, and spend time with the entity. Subjects will report greater mental clarity, lessened cases of clinical depression, and lower levels of anxiety. At first, this effect was assumed to be non-anomalous in nature, and just humans enjoying a dog, but prolonged exposure leads to obsession, visual and audio hallucinations, and dreams centered around SCP-XXXX, to an unhealthy degree¹.

SCP-XXXX's second and primary anomalous quality occurs once every month, starting at midnight the day of a full moon. SCP-XXXX will, over the course of a day, transform into a humanoid figure covered in hair, revealed to be genetically the same fur as an ordinary malamute husky. The humanoid entity will be androgynous in nature, and is incredible violent and sadistic. In this state, SCP-XXXX is capable of speech, and displays an above average intelligence, using information it learned in its canine state to harass and torment victims, taunting them about information it overheard or was told in its dormant state. SCP-XXXX appears to have advanced medical knowledge, as it is able to keep its victims alive awhile attacking them for long periods of time, as well as communicating it knows where certain organs and systems are. SCP-XXXX is capable of tearing human limbs off with its bare hands, and will often eat the remains when they are fully dismembered.

SCP-XXXX will try to break through the glass containment windows, which are now to be locked down with steel sheets the day preceding a full moon. As of now, only one containment breech has occurred, leading to █ causalities before it was subdued and re-contained.

Women and children under age twelve appear to be able to perceive SCP-XXXX in a different way. Over the course of a few days prior to a full moon, the victim will slowly perceive SCP-XXXX as gradually more human. Humans over the age of twelve did not perceive SCP-XXXX in any way, other than a normal canine, and are inclined to not believe the victims accounts. They also appear to be able to communicate with SCP-XXXX up to two days before the full moon. Accounts show children attempting to speak with SCP-XXXX, who taunts them until the full moon. I am requesting we bring in women D-class, in an attempt to communicate with SCP-XXXX and discern its anomalous ability. -Dr.Hamlin

Discovery: SCP-XXXX was discovered in █████, Alaska, after a family had been found gruesomely murdered the day after 12/12/2019. The security cameras had captured most of the incident, and were confiscated. Civilians knowing the family were interviewed, and given amnesics and a cover story to explain the family disappearance. The family was unaware of SCP-XXXX's anomalous nature, and was reported to have been fostering the entity while looking for it's original owners, as they had assumed SCP-XXXX was simply a lost dog they found in the street.

Video feed from the house reveals the seven year old female resident, Sara Lynn, had been crying and yelling at SCP-XXXX for days prior to the full moon. She was frequently calmed by her parents, and while no audio is available, it is assumed they were attempting to convince her what was happening was in her imagination, as they acted ordinary around SCP-XXXX up until the full moon, where they perceived it in it's violent form.

Foreword: Dr.Hamlin had requested to interview SCP-XXXX on the night of a full moon, in order to gain insight into the entity by communicating with it.

SCP-XXXX: [Growling] Release me! Who the fuck do you think you are? [SCP-XXXX punches the observation glass]

Dr.Hamlin:My name is Dr.Hamlin, what is your name?

SCP-XXXX: [Growling] It used to be….Jack….

Dr.Hamlin: It's not anymore?

SCP-XXXX: [Growling] Not since that bitch cu- [SCP-XXXX attempts again to break the glass] Why won't this break?

Dr.Hamlin: It is bullet proof glass. I'm asking the questions. What woman?

SCP-XXXX: [Growling] Fuck you. I could slice you open, groin to chin, and keep you alive for hours before I decide to kill you.

Dr.Hamlin: You could, I'm sure, but you can't. Now… [Dr.Hamlin leans forward] Who was the woman?

SCP-XXXX: [Growling, course laughter] Not a woman, a WITCH. You won't believe it, but…

Dr.Hamlin: You'd be surprised at what I believe. Continue.

SCP-XXXX: [Growling] She caught me with her daughter… Didn't think I was good enough for her. She drugged me and turned me into…this.

Dr.Hamlin: A witch turned you into a monster?

SCP-XXXX: [Growling] I'm not a monster. I'm free. In a way you never will be. You'll never know the feeling of an arm pulling loose from a socket. You'll never taste the wet tears off a child's face while they scream for their mother. [SCP-XXXX begins grinning] You'll never know how sweet it can be to kill.

Dr.Hamlin: Why do you kill? And why every full moon?

SCP-XXXX: [Growling, course laughter] I kill because it feels good. Everything is a fog, most of the time. But every now and then, I start to feel…different, better, more like my old self. I see meat and….

[At this, SCP-XXXX lunges at the glass, creating a crack. Dr.Hamlin is escorted out of the interview room, and SCP-XXXX is herded back into its cell.]

Closing Statement: SCP-XXXX continued to shout names and locations, presumed to be its past victims. SCP-XXXX is assumed to be connected with the Ardenwald axe murders, multiple unsolved murders from London, and possibly the Tamam Shud case. How SCP-XXXX travels, or why it chooses it's victims, is unknown. The age of SCP-XXXX is currently unconfirmed.
