Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5XXX is to be kept in Item Storage Locker 5XXX at Site-953.
Description: SCP-5XXX is a baseball bat, which has the ability to turn any object that it hits with force into a baseball of the same volume and density (designated SCP-5XXX-1). SCP-5XXX-1 instances will be sent flying according to the proportional force applied to the object with SCP-5XXX, with the effect ceasing after landing and coming to a stop, the original object being unharmed. It is to be noted that SCP-5XXX's effect is not activated by light contact with another object, nor accidentally dropping it.

Note: SCP-5XXX was tested in Enclosed Testing Range 953, with exceptions noted. Only the most relevant tests are shown below.

Addendum 1 for SCP-5XXX
On July 24, 2019, Dr. Merbenth was killed in an explosion at his residence in ████████ Street.
Surviving footage shows a baseball flying into his living room while the windows were opening, before rolling onto the ground. Dr. Merbenth walked over to pick it up, only for it to turn into an activated bomb in his hand.
Embedded agents in news media ran a disinformation campaign attributing the explosion to the Young David Bomber1 Investigations are ongoing to find the whereabout of the second SCP-5XXX instance, and the perpetrator of Dr. Merbenth's murder.
