Special Containment Procedure: To be contained in a leather sheath with the following dimensions: 34cm in lenght and 6cm in width. The chamber must be sealed at all time and if opened, to close immediately after introduction of testing personnel. Preservation procedure and restoration are to be executed every 72 hours to mantain SCP-XXXX integration.

Description: SCP-XXXX is an old knife with a steel blade and an old dark oak handle discovered in the nearby of ███████████. The lenght of the blade is 33cm while the handle lenght is about 10cm.
C-14 dating revealed the age of construction around the 12th/13th century. The handcrafted SCP is still in good condition. However exposure to air or human touches can damage the knife. Periodical restoration is needed. If restoration is not executed within 72 hours, the wood and steel becomes fragiles and looks very worn and old.
Procedure for restoration must be followed until the discovery of further method for efficient keeping.

Operators who touched SCP-XXXX barehand, affirmed to see allucination of dead corpses around the chamber. 20 minutes after contact all tested Class D personnel reported to feel observed by an external entity. Subsequently most of the Class D died. Corpses presented stabs on the level of the abdomen and chest, and time to time heads were missing. Further HEAT and Infrared cameras equipment will be installed for entities detection.

Addendum A: On date ██/██/2017, subject D-41██ did not died after contact with SCP-XXXX. On date ██/██/2017, two months later, same situation occurred with D-33██. A revision to both class D criminal reports showed that none of both have ever killed or sexually harrassed. It is to verify correlation with murderer class D deaths and non murderer class D survivals.

Addendum B: On date ██/██/2018, after 4 tests, it is verified that all class D with minor criminal records, survives SCP-XXXX. On date ██/██/2018, some days after, class D subject D-01██, managed to escape the room with the knife. Security Department agents opened fire on him but no harm was done and the subject could run to the checkpoint for Heavy Containment. After disarming D-01██, Echo unit 2 could terminate the escapee.
