DUE TO THE EVENTS DESCRIBED IN ADDENDUM 01, NO FOUNDATION PERSONNEL ARE PERMITTED INTO SCP-7065 WITHOUT EXPRESS PERMISSION FROM THE O5 COUNCIL.
Special Containment Procedures: A concrete perimeter is to surround the entire Biscayne Towers Residential Complex with a height of five meters and a buffer zone of 50 meters in between. The perimeter is to be manned by no less than ten employees from the Temporal Anomalies Department at all times. No personnel are allowed entry unless granted permission by the O5 council following a request submitted via the Checkpoint-α administration office. Furthermore, prior to entry, all authorized personnel are to be equipped with a Yon Timeline Preservation ankle bracelet.1
Logs are to be kept of all personnel or entities entering or exiting from the building, regardless of the subject involved being permitted to enter. Any unauthorized personnel attempting to enter must be terminated prior to entering the building. Due to the nature of SCP-7065, any attempt to terminate unauthorized personnel from the outside timeline (henceforth referred to as Timeline-Γ) may result in severe damage to the building within its local timeline (henceforth referred to as Timeline-Δ). Similarly, no electromagnetic transmissions can escape SCP-7065 without being heavily distorted or corrupted, in a best case, or being completely destroyed in most cases.
Description: SCP-7065 is a residential complex located in Bithlo, Florida that measures roughly 33 meters in height with a sign above the door reading "Biscayne Towers Residential Complex". The building contains a localized temporal anomaly (Timeline-Δ) that causes entities, whether biological or otherwise, to observe the outside world (Timeline-Γ) with drastically increased speed. This shift in the speed of time mimics the effects of relativity when near an extremely massive object; however, the Foundation has yet to establish any ties between this phenomenon and SCP-7065.
Upon entering SCP-7065 without a Yon Timeline Preservation ankle bracelet, the subject will immediately appear to freeze when observed from personnel within Timeline-Γ. From those within SCP-7065, the opposite effect occurs: time appears to drastically accelerate relative to Timeline-Δ. Estimates suggest that those within the building experience the outside world at a rate of approximately 3.5 months per day. The Foundation discovered the anomaly upon being notified by an informant within the Orange County Sheriff's Office after the loss of contact with twelve separately dispatched officers sent to SCP-7065 following multiple missing persons reports.
Attempts to examine the building using autonomous drones equipped with a Yon Timeline Preservation device have resulted in failure. Detailed below are notes recorded whilst viewing video footage retrieved from the drone via a secondary autonomous ground vehicle:
Biscayne Exploration 01 [Autonomous]
08-21-2022
Dr. Sardha - Camera looks good, propellers seem to be functioning fine.
Dr. Alek - Drone proceeding forward with no issues. Approaching the entrance to SCP-7065.
Dr. Öztürk - Everything good so far. Approaching the Timeline-Δ AoE.
Dr. Alek - Upon entering Timeline-Δ, drone failed. Camera still running.
Dr. Öztürk - Drone failure, camera running, blades still spinning. Temperature indicator rapidly rising.
Dr. Sardha - Extreme temperatures in air below exceeding 20,000 C°. Autonomous drone termination likely.
Dr. Alek - Drone termination confirmed. Failure approximately fifteen minutes prior to retrieval by autonomous ground vehicle.
The following photos were retrieved from the autonomous ground vehicle whilst retrieving the terminated drone:
As detailed in the notes, an autonomous robot equipped with a Yon Timeline Preservation device was able to retrieve the drone and return it to Checkpoint-α. Further analysis of the data gathered indicates that the rapid heating of the air below the drone was the result of a combination of factors: the elimination of lift generated by the propellers and the friction between air molecules in Timeline-Γ and Timeline-Δ.
Following this incident, the Temporal Anomalies Dept. banned the use of autonomous flying vehicles within SCP-7065 and put a temporary moratorium on the use of autonomous vehicles for exploration purposes. As an alternative, Dr. Sardha recommended the use of Class-D test subjects, followed by Dr Öztürk and Dr. Alek both concurring. Below is an email sent by Dr. Alek to the O5 Council requesting the transferring of two Class-D prisoners to SCP-7065:

Good Morning,
Apologies, I understand it is quite early. I've been working on processing all of the data from the most recent exploration of SCP-7065 for the past few days, so another night spent sleeping in the office. As much as I'd like to think you care about my sleep schedule, I know you don't; so, I'll keep it straight-forward. The Temporal Anomalies Department is requesting the transferring of two Class-D personnel from the nearest site as, if you weren't aware, there was an incident involving the failure of autonomous robots used to investigate SCP-7065 remotely. Please get back to me ASAP with your recommendation and any other questions you have.
Regards,
Dr. Alek
On Wed 08-24-2022, two Class-D personnel were delivered to the Checkpoint-α administration office alongside four MTF agents. Following this, an expedition team was dispatched to the entrance of SCP-7065. Class-D #8226 was equipped with an audio recording device attached at the neck. An audio log from Class-D #8226 is transcribed below:
Biscayne Exploration 02 [Manned]
08-25-2022
16:01:33 - [scratching] Yeah, yeah alright, I turned it on. Hello, this is Class-D prisoner Trevor Sarnano. I am entering with this…other Class-D guy. He doesn't talk for some reason. I think his name is Giles, not too sure.
There are also four MTF agents with us as well. Unfortunately, they don't like my jokes very much. I told them, "Bithlo has no gravity, so why doesn't it fly away?" They didn't respond so I continued: "because it sucks." [pause] They didn't even look in my direction; kinda sad, honestly. Anyway, we're getting ready to enter the building. They told me to check in every now and then for their records, so that's what im'ma do, I guess.
16:04:10 - The air feels so still. There's no noise or anything. All four of them are tagging along with us, maintaining a very close distance. We were told not to touch anything and to be careful where we step, too. Not so sure why, they seem to have a stick up their ass every time I try to ask a question. Anyways, nothing important so far.
16:06:58 - Giles accidentally brushed a piece of paper and it just…burst into flames?! [chuckles] What the fuck aren't they telling us? We're disposable, right? So why can't we at least know how to keep our asses from getting burnt alive so they don't accidentally kill us?
16:07:34 - [stammering] Giles is behaving strangely. His eyes are darting around the room and he's eyeing his…Don Timeline device thingy. Not sure what he's going to do, but I hope he doesn't get us both killed. I'm gonna beat his ass in hell if that happens, and he's a skinny guy…heh.
16:07:50 - [From MTF Agent] Giles, can you hear us? Giles! Answer us!
16:08:05 - [From Class-D] Okay, so Giles just turned his time thingy off. I thought it was some sort of trick they was playing on us. But nope. He's just frozen there, he wont even-
END LOG
Following the loss of data collection at the end of the transcript, all Class-D and MTF agents were killed after an unidentified MTF agent attempted to fire upon Class-D #6501 (referred to as "Giles" in the audio transcript). For this case, a waiver was granted by the O5 Council permitting an autonomous ground vehicle to recover any useful data from the site of the accident. Upon further analysis, Temporal Anomaly Dept. researchers determined that the firing of a bullet from a Yon Timeline Preservation device's Timeline-Γ into the complex's Timeline-Δ caused two events to happen:
- A powerful pressure wave was created by a bullet from Timeline-Γ interacting with the air molecules in Timeline-Δ, greatly increasing the energy released upon impact. This killed both Class-D #8226 and all four MTF agents still within the Yon Timeline Preservation device's area of effect.
- Due to the bullet interacting with air in Timeline-Δ, the temperature surrounding Class-D #6501 rose to approximately 10,000 C°, instantly vaporizing the subject.
Subsequently, a small fire was observed to break out within SCP-7065; but, as of 12-03-2022, it is still relatively small. Following Biscayne Exploration 02, further requests for Class-D prisoners to be delivered to SCP-7065 has been denied by the O5 Council. As of now, only unarmed researchers who have been properly trained for expeditions into SCP-7065 are permitted entry. READ ADDENDUM 01
On 12-03-2022, following the temporary suspension on research into SCP-7065, Dr. Alek requested entry into the building from the O5 Council to conduct a survey of the interior in search of biological life. Below is an email Dr. Alek sent to the O5 Council requesting entry into SCP-7065:

Good Morning,
Another early morning email. I don't think I've slept in days; I haven't even gone home once this past week, so apologies for any typos. I'm emailing you on behalf of the Temporal Anomalies Dept. to request acess into SCP-7065. I wish to conduct a survey into the possibility of biological life within the complex, as I believe there is a strong likelihood that biological life forms of some sort could survive within, completely unaware of the outside world. Let me know your thoughts, and I'll get back to you ASAP.
Regards,
Dr. Alek
Following the approval of this request, Dr. Alek was instructed to carry a localized autonomous data retrieval vehicle (LADRV) equipped with a Yon Timeline Preservation device. This was at the behest of the Temporal Anomalies Dept. Center for Data Collection in order to safely retrieve data from the expedition including pictures, video, and audio recordings.
On 12-06-2022 at 12:31:05 PM, Dr. Alek entered SCP-7065, being given a recovery timer of two hours. After this two hour period had elapsed, only two LADRV's were recovered from the entrance to SCP-7065, one at 13:11:20, and the final one at 13:43:41. Detailed below are the audio transcriptions from both LADRV retrievals:
Biscayne Exploration 03 [Manned]
12-06-2022
12:40:20 - [Dr. Alek] Okay, imagine the most quiet place you can think of. You can hear your breath, every beat of your heart, even your eyes moving inside of your head. This is still quieter. It's…haunting, really. Hard to believe anything could be living in here, at least intelligent life. My goal today is to get some samples, take some photos, and get out. Hopefully I don't go crazy in here, I'm already exhausted, anyways.
12:58:20 - [Dr. Alek] Found some sort of bathroom. It's definitely dated, looks like it was built in the 60's or 70's. The lights are also flickering incredibly slowly, like I'm viewing it through a high-speed camera. Puts a lot of things into a new perspective, seein' everything around you move this slow. Sometimes I wish it was like this on the outside. Could finally have some time to- [pause] The water…[stammers] in the toilet is flushing. Of course, it's moving so slow it looks like a still image, but it's definitely moving. Did it do this by itself? Did I do this? Hang on, I'll be back in a second-[microphone cuts out]
12:59:05 - [Dr. Alek] Okay, so I'm not going crazy. The toilet is definitely flushing.
13:11:17 - [Dr. Alek] Just sent the first LADRV out of here. Hope it makes it, and by the looks it's already made it's way out. I think I can see some researchers going to retrieve it. Anyways, I see a stairwell with a rusty metal door that has been propped open, meaning I should be able to go up there unimpeded. I'll report back if there's anything interesting [pause, followed by about 20 seconds of breathing] shit, forgot to turn it off [microphone cuts abruptly]
13:20:58 [Dr. Alek] [microphone cuts speech] -my god. What the hell? There's two people in this room, I think. I'm gonna get closer, they aren't moving at all. [silence for approx. 20 seconds alongside footsteps] O-ok, there are two people here, male and female. They're both sitting in chairs, looking at each other…a-and he's smoking a cigarette. They…aren't reacting to me at all. I assume it's because, from their point of view, I'm moving impossibly fast, or something. He's smoking a "Raleigh Cigarette". Never heard of that before, maybe it's limited edition? [pause] Anyways, I'm going to keep looking around for a little while longer.
13:36:30 [Dr. Alek] [sobbing] How the fuck did this happen? I-I'm in a different room now and…there's a girl in here, a young one…maybe seven or eight. She's crying. I see one of her tears floating between her face and the ground. She's wearing a shirt that says, "Keep Calm and Flutter On," with what looks to be a My Little Pony character behind it. She reminds me of my daughter, but maybe when she was younger. Fuck… I haven't seen her in forever. She stopped sending me cards for my birthday when she was about this girl's age. [pause] Shit! [microphone cuts abruptly]
END LOG
Upon analysis of the audio recordings, researchers from the Temporal Anomaly Dept. were able to determine the approximate entry time of both the adult couple and young child discovered during the expedition. It is currently unknown how survivors within SCP-7065 do not die as a result of hunger or dehydration.
- Due to the cigarettes the adult male was smoking being from defunct brand as of 12-08-2022, it was determined that the couple entered SCP-7065 sometime during the late 1950's and early 1960's. Provided the calculation of time dilation was correct, from the perspective of Timeline-Δ, the couple had been in the building for, approximately, two-thirds of a year.
- As for the young child, if the text on the shirt was accurately recorded in the audio transcript, it can be deduced that, due to generational trends from the year 2016, the subject described entered SCP-7065 approximately twenty days ago from the perspective of Timeline-Δ
Following the final of the two LADRV's being delivered into the hands of Temporal Anomaly Dept. researchers, Dr. Alek was not seen or heard from again. As of 12-08-2022, the Temporal Anomaly Dept. declared Dr. Alek missing in action, and requested the O5 Council send in an unarmed MTF retrieval mission. The request was promptly denied due to a renewed moratorium on manned expeditions of SCP-7065, alongside the O5 Council deeming Dr. Alek "irretrievable" due to the nature of the anomaly.
ADDENDUM 01
On 09-18-2023, the O5 Council lifted the moratorium on manned expeditions of SCP-7065, prompting the immediate request by the Temporal Anomalies Dept. for a search party to locate the whereabouts of Dr. Alek. Three MTF agents from unit Δ-Γ "Dilators" was sent into SCP-7065 to locate and attempt to communicate with Dr. Alek. Each MTF Agent was equipped with an LED lightboard mounted at the chest in order to communicate across Timeline-Γ and Timeline-Δ. Below is an audio transcript of the expedition.
Biscayne Exploration 04 [Manned, Search Party]
09-18-2023
17:17:45 - Okay, this is squad leader ███ ██████ of the Δ-Γ "Dilators" squad. Testing to make sure the mic works. [pause] Okay, yeah, the decibel levels are peaking. We're going to enter SCP-7065 and attempt to locate the whereabouts of Dr. Alek. We also have a two hour time limit…guess they wanna put the pressure on us. Anyhow, we're suited up with our lightboards, and lemme give a description of what each says:
- Mine says, "Dr. Alek: we are, unfortunately, unable to rescue you."
- ████'s says, "Today is September 18th, 2023."
- ██████'s says, "If you can, please describe to us your experiences."
Who knows if it'll work. I don't think we'll learn much, but ████, ever the optimist, thinks we can gain some valuable research from this. [scoffs] whatever.
17:30:22 - We've gone upstairs, presumably the same staircase Dr. Alek used that they debriefed us on. We're currently walking towards the room we believe the older married couple were staying. Guess we'll see if they stuck around.
17:32:56 - [talking away from microphone] yep, they're here. [resumes talking into microphone] I think they're sleeping. Shit, it's only been a few days for them since Dr. Alek decided to snoop around their room. Y'know what else I noticed that's sorta weird? Every window above the ground floor seems to be blocked out with makeshift blinds. I can only assume they're trying to disconnect from the outside world as much as possible. Or maybe it's because the sun rises and sets something like… [sighs] about 5,000 times per day in the outside world? Not really sure. We should be close to finding Dr. Alek though, that is, if we can get to him.
18:01:10 - Oh my god, we actually found him. He's on the fourth floor… uh… room 405. He's sitting on the ground against the wall, looking down at the ground. Strangely, he doesn't have those makeshift blinds like every other room. Even more strangely, there's like 10 pieces of notebook paper thrown all over the ground, but facing upwards. I think he knew we were gonna try and read what he wrote, but that we can't actually touch it. Kinda clever, honestly. We were ordered to stand absolutely still until he notices us, which should only take a couple minutes, I think.
18:24:31 - Alright, he noticed us, looked up with a sorry look in his eyes. Kinda scary. I photographed all of the documents he had placed on the ground, and I'm gonna take it back to the folks at Checkpoint-α so they can get a read on it. Looks like it had some pretty important stuff. Gonna start walking back here in a few, the others are gonna stay there and watch to ensure he gets the message. Y'know, because mine isn't that important. MTF ██████ over and out.
END LOG
At 18:28:15, MTF ██████ emerged from SCP-7065. Multiple images of documents hand-written by Dr. Alek were examined, including personal updates, interviews with others staying at the hotel, and some scientific observations of the outside world. It appears that, following the final LADRV transmission, Dr. Alek disabled his Yon Timeline Preservation device. Upon further analysis, it has been determined that Dr. Alek had done this shortly after witnessing the young child detailed in the transcript for Biscayne Exploration 03.
Listed below are transcripts of some of the hand-written notes Dr. Alek took during his time inside SCP-7065:
I've set my watch to track time locally here in Timeline-Δ, so I can actually record how much time has passed. It's been about thirty minutes after I disabled my Yon Timeline Preservation device. After seeing that girl I think it activated that fatherly instinct that had been absent in me since I began working at the Foundation about 10 years ago. Maybe I saw my daughter in that girl because that was about how old she was when I took up my post as a junior researcher at the Temporal Anomalies Dept. So fucking stupid, I'll never forgive myself. I don't think I've seen my girl since she was in middle school. I hope somebody reads this that ISN'T the Foundation, just so they know to stay away.
I can't fault them though, can I. I chose to work here. I chose to leave everyone behind just to study why things are the way they are. I don't know if I regret it or not. My mind is constantly spinning as I sit writing this. That poor girl, her name was Emily. She told me she couldn't find her parents, followed by saying that she was, "really really sad." Breaks my heart, especially when I think about my daughter probably saying that when I left. Once I get all the data I need, I'm quitting. I can't do this anymore. I just hope they will forgive me.

It's been about four hours since I first disabled my device. Quick update, I know; I guess it's just my inner researcher pounding away to make sure I get as much work done as possible. I forgot to mention, I ended up guiding Emily to the couple I saw earlier in the day. Speaking of which, I actually got to talk to them. Their names are Scott and Linda Donahue, and they claim they've been living here for the past eight or nine months. When I asked them for their date of entry, they responded with, "ehh…middle of March 1961." They weren't very talkative, but when I probed Mr. Donahue on whether or not he noticed there was some sort of temporal anomaly, he responded, "Yeah, I seen it get a little weird. Don't bother me, though. As long as I got Linda, I'm as happy as can be." From the way he looked at me, it almost looked like he was experiencing a similar swarm of emotions to me. I feel like I see myself in him. Maybe he left a family behind, a job, friends, etc. He seemed happy to at least have Linda, sure, but he's still scarred by a decision that, unlike me, he made unintentionally. That was about an hour ago, though, and I've been sitting in room 405 just writing away as I watch the sun and moon rise and fall like leaves in the wind. Never really been a good poet, but you get it.

I just woke up from a 3 hour nap, and I'm pretty sure I can start to see the seasons changing. I mean, as much as you can down here in the south. I think I'm going to venture to the top floor of the building to see what's up there. Oh, I forgot to mention, I saw a young man walk by my room after I had just woken up. Didn't get his name or where he's staying in the building, but he seemed pretty out of it. He was just kind of walking aimlessly; I could tell by the way he stared ahead with no sense of purpose. Anyways, I know for a fact that there are at least a couple dozen people in this building right now. I hear footsteps above my room during the night, sometimes I hear people talking as they walk past my door. Most everybody seems to be American, though, so that rules out this being some weird fourth-dimensional type of thing where there are multiple entrances across the planet. Who knows, though, I still have a lot to learn.

Δ+00:18:40:01
Today was interesting to say the least. It's dark out as I write this, and there's no lighting in my room besides a small desk lamp. It should be just about solar noon in roughly five minutes, fortunately; figured I'd document that to help the Temporal Anomalies Dept. figure out a more exact time dilation value (that is, if they ever see this).
Anyways, I wanted to share an interaction I had up on the 12th floor today with a man named Taylor, though apparently others in the building just call him "T". I'll paraphrase some of the questions I asked him alongside some of his responses below:
- "What is your name and where are you from?" - "I'm Taylor Caldwell. Grew up on an orange plantation with my maw and paw down here in Mosquito County. Don't ask me why we came here, hell if I know.
- "When were you born and when did you enter the building?" - "I was born in September of 1788. Don't really know what day. One day we were fixing to cross from the city of Tampa to the east coast with a large group, me at its head. Along the way, we spotted this here building and camped the night around it. Nobody else really seemed to care, but I was confused as to how such a large place could be in the middle of nowhere like this. So I entered it, and that's when I turned around only to see the entire camp gone, and for the sun to be well above the horizon. That was on August 6th, 1840. I will never forget the day.
- "Why does nobody in here seem to eat or drink?" - "No idea. I ain't really been hungry or thirsty since I walked in here. Haven't lost any weight neither. Some other folks seem to be convinced they're gonna starve to death; not me, no sir. I been here long enough to know I'm fine. Been trying to tell them folks that they'll be fine but they don't listen. Their problem.
- "What did you notice changing on the outside?" - "Well, for the most part, nothing really. About a year into my stay here, I noticed these little buggy things moving around a new road made out of really small rocks or pebbles. I'll never forget closing my curtains here for a couple months only to open them and see these shiny metal objects flyin' through the sky. Then, a couple days later, a bunch of people in clothes similar to yours started swarmin' the building. Not even a few hours after y'all had arrived there was a small fire downstairs and a large clump of ash, alongside some dead guys wearin' metal helmets while holding black metal rods. I guess you're sorta the answer I was lookin' for, though. Never really thought much of it, just kinda kept on goin'. Speaking of which, do you know when we are?"
After this, he almost began to shed a tear, before collecting himself and remarking "I've given you all I have. Leave me in peace, please." I haven't talked to him since and don't plan on doing so anytime soon. I just hope he's been able to make peace with this place.

I slept again, as much as I didn't want to. Woke up and it was well and truly summer; the bright green leaves, thunderstorms that passed in a matter of seconds, all par for the course down here. Anyways, today I found out some great fucking news. I can't leave! I'm stuck here. I was talking to this guy named Al, who apparently had been here for a few months already, saying he saw a woman and her child die while trying to exit the building. Claiming they just, "collapsed right there outside of the door." I guess this is before the foundation arrived, as there is no record of any bodies being recovered from SCP-7065. Since my days will be lived within these walls, I guess nobody is gonna read these now, anyway. Might as well destroy all of the stuff I've already recorded; one last middle finger to the Foundation. I can't do that, though. It's all my fault. I let time slip from my hands. There's nothing I can do anymore.

Hello, Vesta. Can I still call you Vessie? I remember when we watched the stars with mommy when you were a baby. I remember when you first started walking, that night at the beach in Tampa, and the first time you fell over about ten seconds later. The first word you said other than "mama": "love". Well, it was more like "wov", but that doesn't matter, I know what you meant. I remember the first time I dropped you off at school, how you ran and hugged my leg because you were scared of your teacher. I remember the first time I picked you up from school, when you jumped into my truck with the biggest smile out of every kid at the school. I remember the first time you had a crush on a boy, the first time you said you hated me, and the first time we both cried when we talked afterwards.
I also remember your 11th birthday. Then your 12th birthday. Then 14th. I remember when you stopped looking up to me. I remember when you stopped calling me dad and just ignored me. And, yet, I can't fault you for a thing.
I love you, Vessie. Even if the next time I see you might be in a couple weeks for me, it will be an eternity for you. Not that you'd wanna see me anyways, I-
[what appear to be tears have obscured this part of the letter]
My little girl is all grown up. I'll never see you graduate, walk down the isle, watch your kids take their first steps.
I'm sorry

Biscayne Exploration 04 [Manned, Continued]
09-18-2023
18:39:33 - Uh…apparently Dr. Alek found a gun somewhere. Looks to be from the mid-century, my guess is that he got it from one of the people staying in the building. He's currently moving it towards his temple, and, by the looks of it, there ain't much we can do. He's sitting there with what seems to be a picture of his daughter, seems kinda selfish to me that he'd do this with a family still on the outside. Gotta feeling he's gonna back off and put it back down, I can't imagine anything that horrible exists inside this damn building. Gonna run this out to Checkpoint-α and see what they have to say.
18:49:10 - Alright, we're being told to stand down and to avoid the area, as we don't know what would happen if a bullet struck a part of our preserved timeline. Don't know why they're being so cautious, but whatever. It's basically like that Matrix scene in there, where the bullets are flying past that guys head…can't remember his name. Anyways, gonna get back inside and relay this info to the others.
18:57:43 - [commotion from other MTF agents] Holy shit. He actually did it. I can see the bullet leaving the other side of his head. Shit, what the fuck! Why did he do that? Blood is flying through the air like a still image…it almost looks like tears are dropping off his eyes due to the force of the bullet. [long pause] Dr. Alek, [long pause] I'm sorry.
