Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept within a titanium reinforced concrete containment cell at all times, surrounded by a Faraday cage, with a minimum of three guards outside of the cell, equipped with 5000 lumen flashlights. The containment cell must be kept at a uniform light level of above 1600. If any dark spots are observed, three guards equipped with 5000 lumen flashlights must escort a class-d into the cell to replace the light fixtures in SCP-XXXX's cell.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a sphere of unknown material measuring approximately 3.2 cm in diameter. The object possesses 4 tentacle-like appendages of an indeterminate length resembling rubber hosing in appearance. SCP-XXXX's appendages are tipped with metal spikes, which are capable of penetrating 5mm of steel. SCP-XXXX also possesses a circular hole in its underside measuring approximately 1 cm in diameter. SCP-XXXX can only move while under a light level of approximately 1600 lumens, and additionally will self replicate at an exponentially growing rate. The object is animate and extremely violent, observed to utilize its appendages to immobilize any entities other than its own copies within its cell. After immobilization, it will utilize the hole in its underside to plant a device of unknown origin into the neck of the target. The device hijacks the targets brain and effectively turns them into a drone.

Addendum: SCP-XXXX has been observed by personnel to emit a stream of electromagnetic communications on a bi-weekly basis directed at the red spot on Jupiter, presumably directed at SCP-2399. Whether SCP-XXXX is a product or ally of 2399 is currently unknown. Attempts at decoding said message are in progress.
