Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX should be contained in a fully soundproofed humanoid containment unit. Any testing personnel must be equipped with sound-canceling headphones to prevent loss of hearing. SCP-XXXX will begin targeting Foundation personnel outside of the containment unit if not given paper and a drawing utensil. The effects of SCP-443 do not seem to apply to SCP-XXXX
Description: SCP-XXX is a humanoid standing at approximately 2.44 meters in length. It has significantly long appendages that provide it with much of its height. Its hands are solid black in color with long fingers that resemble the legs of small arthropods. It wears a surgeon's coat, though a coat of that size has never been manufactured. Its face is concealed behind a mask depicting a gleeful cartoonish smile. Attempts to remove the mask have proven unsuccessful. Any being that comes within line of sight of SCP-XXXX that does not have the proper protection will begin to hear the laughter of a group of children. The sound will begin faint, but will slowly rise to 250 decibels, at which point the subject's eardrums will burst. Normally the bursting of an eardrum would heal, but victims of SCP-XXXX seem to have permanent hearing loss. Only those targeted can hear the effects of SCP-XXXX.
Addendum: Gus █████ (testing subject) claimed that one of the voices that can be heard in the laughter was his daughter, Annebelle █████ who died in ████ due to drowning in ██████ public pool. No other relation between ██████ public pool and SCP-XXXX has been found.
