Welcome to Site-16's Department of the World's Unexplained Anomalies!

SDWUA is a separate department about the containment of various unexplained anomalies all around the world. As of now, it is part only of one of the Foundation's most important issued sites — Site-16.

SDWUA objects are not necessarily SCP anomalies - they are different by nature for the most part, and while they are mostly anomalous, some of them are based of a mechanism which is not. Non-euclidean structure of the objects can be met at times, but while it is possible for the Foundation to find the source and the principles behind an anomaly, which usually automatically transfers it to the Explained section, normal citizens do not have the comprehension or mindset to do the same.

Also, while the baseline Foundation attempts to secure, contain and protect anomalies, we do not abide to these rules. Destroying a dangerous anomaly is top priority around here, whether we like it or not. Of course, that doesn't mean we don't go through countless processes and meetings with the rest of the Foundation staff beforehand. If it's reasonable to keep a dangerous anomaly of any kind, we will do so without hesitation.

So most SDWUAs are, in short, SCPs that are classified Explained in the official Foundation SCiP database, but also objects, events or occurrences that are deemed abnormal by humanity as a whole.

However, there are other SDWUA objects which are completely anomalous, without explanation. These fall in perfectly within our criteria for qualification as an unexplained anomaly. More serious threats and anomalies which require special attention are documented here. Aside from those two kinds, sometimes we take in abnormalities which the Foundation does not have the ability and/or space to receive. Sometimes we recheck and redirect them after a while, but other times, they stay with us, in Site-16.

So, have a look. There isn't much information in this overview, but I hope you read your documented instructions and have a nice stay, not counting the odd anomalies you'll meet here. You've been chosen to work here, so make sure to make the most out of it.

Secure. Doubt. Witness. Understand. Accept.
