Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4### is to be kept in a 6m x 5m x 2.5m chamber, fashioned in the appearance of a standard bedroom. Minimal security is required to uphold containment, however, at least one security personnel is required to monitor the chamber at all times.

To avoid instances of SCP-4###-2 a member of Foundation personnel must make contact with SCP-4### every 2-3 days. Class D personnel shall be rotated for this duty.This contact has proven to be of no risk to involved parties, as a result research staff should be included in an attempt to learn more about this entity.

If SCP-4### exhibits any sign of biological decay— a foundation member of Level 3 clearance or higher must be alerted immediately.

Instances of such decay prelude occurrences of event SCP-4###-2, and further containment procedures will be necessary. See Addendum #4###.1 for further instructions.

During an instance of SCP-4###-2 a Security Officer of Level 3 Clearance or higher must be alerted. It is the duty of said Officer to notify the Containment Specialists, stationed at Sub-Site "Slugger", of the impending containment breach.

Containment Team "Sluggers" are then instructed to establish roadblocks to all entrances of SCP-4####'s hunting grounds between the times of 2200 hours and 0400 hours. These roadblocks are to be preformed under the guise of local law enforcement DUI check points. Roadblocks are to continue indefinitely, until successful capture of SCP-4### is re-established.¹

SCP-4### will often reappear within two weeks in a vehicle en-route to the zone marked in Figure.1 . The entity will often be accompanied by one to three humans who will be unaware of fact that SCP-4### over wrote their friends consciousness. In the case that capture is not successful before the SCP reaches its destination with the civilians, event SCP-4###-1 will occur.

Containment prior to that event is of high priority. Once the entity is located at a roadblock, Containment Team is to theatrically arrest the entity, and explain to the civilians that they have a warrant for it's arrest. In the event that the civilians do not accept the fabricated story, then use of █████ is permitted. Class-A amnestics is permitted.

However, if SCP-4### is able to reach it's destination and complete an Event SCP-4###-1, then all accompanying civilians are to be detained, brought back to Site-## and ██████████ promptly. classified with Post-D Class status. Once re-containment is secured, standard containment procedures are to be followed. This includes Containment Specialist Team "Sluggers" to return to their undercover status, living in a home near SCP-4###'s hunting grounds.

Description: SCP-4### is an non-corporeal entity. It has shown reality bending properties within specific circumstances. The being assimilates a humanoid host, and overrides the original subjects consciousness. It has been hypothesized that SCP-4### is an █████████ of a much larger [REDACTED]. Evidence gathered during Incident-4###-2a supports the hypothesis.

Sapience has been difficult to verify; interviews with the SCP indicate that the entity can respond to basic questioning. However, if the conversation deviates from specific topics SCP-4### will begin to respond with various remarks indicating boredom in what is possibly an attempt to redirect the interviewer to a particular subject.²

If left alone inside of it's containment chamber, for a period if several days, SCP-4### will begin the process of SCP-4###-2. Once this event is completed the entity will overtake a new host and begin it's life cycle again.

Within standard containment procedures SCP-4### displays minimal hostility. This has allowed research staff to run a variety of tests on the entity. This has further brought SCP-4### sapience into question. As preformed MRI scans have show a distinct lack of neural activity, expect for when the entity is directly discussing topics of which it finds interest in.

Researchers have concluded that the humanoid hosts of SCP-4### are mentally deceased following the entity's occupation of their body. No attempts to interact with original subjects have been successful.
