*Item #:** Scp-XXXX

*Object Class:** Safe

Special Containment Procedures: Scp-XXXX is to be kept in a Room at Site-88 on the 7th Floor. Testing requires the authorization and supervision of a level 3 researcher.

Description: Scp-XXXX is a 1907 Western Electric Model 317 Wall Mounted Telephone. Scp-XXXX was acquired on 9/7/2006 within a bar that was abandoned for 60 years in the town of Loxley, Alabama after rumors of a phone that could "call the past". At first glance Scp-XXXX seems to have no anomalous properties. Only when the phone is activated via the crank on the right hand side and the earpiece is picked up does its anomalous properties become apparent. A person answers the phone and introduces himself as Nigel Colbert owner of the Loxley Public House1. Nigel has been dubbed Scp-XXXX-1 and will be further referred to as such.

Interviewed: SCP-XXXX-1

Interviewer: Researcher Johnson

Foreword: This is the First Time Scp-XXXX was used

<Begin Log, 6/6/06>

Scp-XXXX-1: Sorry Pub will be closed for a few weeks.

Interviewer: Wait why will the pub be closed?
Scp-XXXX-1: Why? Either your blind or a jackass the town’s in damn near ruins.
Interviewer: Really why would that be?
Scp-XXXX-1: Why? What the fuck else you think a hurricane gonna do to a small town 20
miles from Mobile.

<End Log, The phone was hung up from other side>

Closing Statement: Research suggests the hurricane Scp-XXXX-1 talked about was the gulf hurricane of 1916. So it seems that the phone calls itself in 1916 we don't have enough information to solidify the statement quite yet. We will try again in a month to gain more information

Foreword: (Loud Music is Playing in background)

Scp-XXXX-1(not to phone but still audible):Mary make the Edison quieter!
(music dims)
Scp-XXXX-1: ok now talk.
Interviewer: Can you tell me about the pub?
Scp-XXXX-1: Ok sure thing, so this place is the Loxley Public House I'm Nigel Colbert I’ve run this pub since 1886 so a good[3 or so seconds of silence] 30 years.

Interviewer: Thank you for the information
<End Log, The phone was hung up >

Closing Statement: The music playing was identified as the 1916 song "Hello Hawaii How are you" this combined with the fact that for Nigel it had been 30 years since 1886 solidifies the fact that this phone calls itself in 1916
