Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5000 is currently uncontained. MTF Gamma-33 ("David & Goliath") has been formed from previous members of MTF Omega-12 ("Achilles Heels"), MTF Lambda-5 ("White Rabbits") and MTF Eta-5 ("Jäeger Bombers") for the sole purpose of containing SCP-5000.

Foundation webcrawlers and operatives placed in emergency services are to search for manifestation events. Foundation satellites HEKATONKHEIRES and IYR are monitoring the surface of the Earth for hot spots of gradually decreasing Hume levels and gradually increasing levels of Akiva radiation. In case of a manifestation event, MTF Gamma-33 is to be immediately dispatched. They are to engage the entity in an attempt to prevent it from demanifesting with civilian personnel. Each entity should be approached with a different tactic;

  • SCP-5000-1: Approach with as much hostility as possible with little regard for personal safety.
  • SCP-5000-2: Keep moving and evade the entities line of sight. Attacks should be coordinated and precise.
  • SCP-5000-3: Do not approach directly. Attack from long distance and focus on restricting the entities mobility.

When multiple entities manifest at once, efforts should be focused purely on damage control, as any direct hostile action would be futile.

Members of MTF Iota-10 ("Damn Feds") placed in various law enforcement organizations are informed of the effects of SCP-5000. They have been instructed to integrate themselves into all cases dealing with deaths and disappearances under mysterious circumstances in case of SCP-5000 influence. If and when evidence of such influence is discovered, it is to be hidden from law enforcement and reported to MTF Gamma-33.

Description: SCP-5000 is the collective designation for three humanoid entities, SCP-5000-1, -2, and -3 respectively. All of the entities are 50 meters tall, but otherwise vary greatly in morphology:

Designation Appearance
SCP-5000-1 Gaunt in stature. In place of a head it has several twitching tentacles with a reddish coloration. In the middle of the tentacles a single, glowing eye can be seen. Patches of its skin are covered in several types of vegetation, including; seaweed, grass, moss and trees.
SCP-5000-2 Appearance similar to a frostbitten human corpse. Parts of it are severely scarred and deformed with signs of cartilage erosion. A golden circlet has been embedded into its skull, and 5 golden rings have been embedded into its forearms. All of its fingertips have been similarly plated with gold. SCP-5000-2 has two glowing eyes.
SCP-5000-3 Bulky and muscular body covered in a black, chitinous substance, which has been scarred and damaged in several places, as if by continuous wind erosion. Head has a structure similar in appearance to a slightly ajar clam. Three glowing eyes can be seen from between the gap. Shackles with broken chains have been attached to its wrists and ankles and it has been pierced through the back with a giant sword.

Since their initial manifestation in the Yeniseysk Governorate of Russia in 1908, in an event colloquially known as the Tunguska explosion, SCP-5000 have been responsible for hundreds of deaths and disappearances all over the world, many of which have not gone unnoticed by the general populace.

SCP-5000 seem to have the ability to translocate themselves through dimensional slipping1, which can be noticed ahead of time, as the immediate area around their manifestation point will begin to decrease in Hume levels, while the amount of Akiva radiation steadily increases over the previous 8 hours before their manifestation.

There appears to be a pattern to their appearances. Usually, only one SCP-5000 instance will manifest in a given location. The points of manifestation are usually in secluded areas, but in the vicinity of multiple people. After appearing, the instance will remain for approximately 5 minutes, before demanifesting with several individuals. The motives of SCP-5000 or where it goes when demanifesting are unknown, and people taken by SCP-5000 have not been recovered.

In lieu of the disappearances, SCP-5000, mainly SCP-5000-3, have been responsible for various deaths. Casualties largely consist of Foundation personnel, but several groups of civilians have been purposefully terminated by SCP-5000. No obvious pattern between the victims, or connection to SCP-5000, have been discovered.

Along with their translocative abilities, SCP-5000 are capable of powerful thaumaturgy and reality bending, which they effectively weaponize, with SCP-5000-1 focused on harmlessly immobilizing foes and SCP-5000-2 altering the environment to obstruct and eliminate opponents. Despite their size and assumed strength, the entities rarely engage physically, with the exception of SCP-5000-3, who takes a more direct approach, using its anomalous abilities mostly to distract and disorientate enemies through mental assaults.

Additionally, the Hume levels of SCP-5000 seem to be constantly fluctuating, which extends to everything in their vicinity, causing reality around them to act unpredictably. This effect creates a variety of additional anomalous phenomena, including but not limited to; the transmutation of matter, anomalous matter state conversion, cancellation or reversal of gravity and minor acceleration or deceleration of time. The effect is especially strong around SCP-5000-2, a fact which the entity uses to its advantage. However, the behavior of SCP-5000-1 suggest that this quality is involuntary, as it seems to be worried that the fluctuating nature of reality around it might cause harm to people. The Hume levels of SCP-5000-3 seem to stabler than its counterparts.

After the enactment of the current containment procedures, successful Manifestation Events have reduced due to MTF Sigma-33 interference. MTF Sigma-33 has managed to repeatedly overwhelm an SCP-5000 instance so that it has been forced to demanifest, but thus far they have not been able to cause any substantial damage despite the apparent injuries that SCP-5000-2 and -3 seem to have suffered at some point in the past.

Incident Report 5000/2879: On 30/7/2019, Foundation satellite HEKATONKHEIRES recorded the initial signs of SCP-5000 manifestation next to Site-19, putting the Site on full alert. As a precaution, all non-essential personnel were evacuated and MTF Sigma-33, as well operatives from the MTF's it is made of, were dispatched to the Site. Defensive measures, such as weapon barrages, troop formations and aerial battle stations, as well as thaumaturgical binding runes, Scranton Reality Anchors and Faith Vacuums2 were set up around the estimated arrival point.

At 21:57, SCP-5000-3 manifested. The binding runes went off, restricting its movements by pulling it on its knees and dragging its arms to the ground, while SRA's and FV's were activated to limit its capabilities. An assault using missiles, heavy weapons fire, as well as hostile thaumaturgy and reality bending, was launched on the entity from all directions. It seemed to greatly struggle against its bindings as it began to show signs of demanifestation.

However, only moments later, local Akiva counters began to show an exponential increase in radiation levels, as SCP-5000-3 stood up, beyond the range of what the binding runes should allow. Simultaneously, a single sentence seemingly originating from SCP-5000-3 was transmitted through the handheld radios of all personnel present in a deep, distorted voice;

I WILL KNEEL NO LONGER

SCP-5000-3 then proceeded to physically break its bindings, before grabbing a Foundation helicopter and throwing it at an SRA, resulting in 8 casualties. It then physically destroyed the remaining SRA's and FV's. As the Akiva radiation radiated by it and the reality altering effect of its presence on its surroundings were no longer inhibited, they were released from the entity at increased force, causing 24 breaches across Site-19, as it was subjected to powerful Hume fluctuations, which compromised the structural integrity of several sections of the site due to transmutation of matter.

SCP-5000-3 was then witnessed to place its hand on the handle of the sword it appears to have been pierced with. Following this, the blade of the sword began to burn, seemingly causing great pain to the entity. It appeared to be about to draw the sword out, but didn't proceed as SCP-5000-1 manifested next to SCP-5000-3, tackling the entity to the ground and demanifesting with it.

An hour later, the entities remanifested near the Appalachian Mountains, seemingly engaged in physical combat. SCP-5000-1 used its thaumic abilities to restrict -3's movements through the use of roots, while simultaneously dragging it closer to the mountains, before using geocrafting to turn the side of the mountain into liquid magma, which it pushed SCP-5000-3 into. It then re-solidified the rock, encapsulating SCP-5000-3 within the mountain so that only its head remained visible.

SCP-5000-1 then attempted to stomp on -3's head, but SCP-5000-3 managed to break through the ground, grabbing -1's leg and throwing it on the ground. It then fully broke through the stone and placed its leg on SCP-5000-1's back, before grabbing its arm and severing it through brute strength. It then took hold of SCP-5000-1's tentacles and repeatedly impacted its head on the side of the mountain. Meanwhile, SCP-5000-1 grew a new arm on its back, seemingly unnoticed by SCP-5000-3, which it used to grab the handle of SCP-5000-3's sword and pushing it deeper, causing SCP-5000-3 to let go of SCP-5000-1 and collapse. SCP-5000-1 then got up and appeared to be about to drag the sword through the length of SCP-5000-3's body.

However, before it managed to do this, SCP-5000-2 manifested. It used telekinesis to drag SCP-5000-1 away from SCP-5000-3, before helping SCP-5000-3 to stand up. Following this, all the entities demanifested.

This incident lead to the deaths of 24 personnel and injuring of 45 others, as well as considerable damage to Site-19 and 33 containment breaches. Notably, this event was also the first time any of the SCP-5000 instances have ever been seen to sustain significant damage.

Incident Report 5000/2880: On 5/8/2019, the following video file was simultaneously uploaded and played on every Foundation computer screen across the globe.

Incident Report 5000/2881: On 10/8/2019, SCP-5000-2 manifested in Greenland. The contents of the previous message had not yet been accessed, so MTF Sigma-33 responded normally to the manifestation, preventing the entity from completing its objective. Seven hours after SCP-5000-2 was forced to demanifest, the following transmission was sent from Site-636 through the Foundation distress channel;

Hello? Shit, is this thing working? Uhh, to anyone listening, this is Sergeant Henricks from Site-636. We are under attack, I repeat, we are [static] attack.

[An explosion is heard in the distance.]

Two creatures, giant creatures, just appeared out of nowhere and started trashing the place. They've destr- [static] C and D and they're currently [static] At least 30 dead.

[A wet sound of something dropping is heard.]

[static]-e fuck? Half of the ceiling just turned into pudding. These- these things are somehow shaping the environment with their presence. Oh fuck, I can see the other one through the hole in the ceiling. People are rising into the air and… something is happening to them. They're screaming and changing somehow… I just saw someone's rib cage burst out of his chest and turn into a crab made out of bones. What the fuck is [static]

[Sounds of metal being teared between static]

We're throwing everything we can [static] -ut nothing is [static].

[Static for 5 minutes, after which a deep, distorted voice becomes audible within the static]

A WARNING WAS GIVEN. NO SECOND CHANCES. COMPLY OR PERISH LIKE THE REST.

Following the receiving of this transmission, MTF Sigma-33 was dispatched at Site-636, but upon arrival, found nothing but a large clearing in the place where Site-636 used to be. No remains of Site-636, or the people and anomalies within, were present.

Revised Containment Procedures: MTF Sigma-33 has been disbanded. Engagement with SCP-5000 entities is prohibited. Containment efforts are to focus on dissemination of information regarding SCP-5000 and covering up mass disappearances caused by them. Research into the motives and origins of the anomaly is considered top priority.
